Welcome to Week 10 of the college football season and with the release of the 1st college football playoff rankings things are starting to get intense now. Last week my record was 4-1 and my overall record improved to 29-16 making my winning percentage jump from 62.5% to 64.4%. This week I’ll be predicting 6 games and hopefully I can inch closer to that 70% winning percentage.

Auburn_TigersOle MissWe start this week off in SEC country as the 3rd ranked Auburn Tigers visit the 4th ranked Ole Miss Rebels. The Auburn Tigers control their own destiny because all they have to do is win out and they’re in the playoffs. The road to the playoffs isn’t an easy one because after the Rebels they still play Texas A&M and play Alabama and Georgia on the road. The Rebels are coming off their 1st defeat of the year when they lost to LSU last Saturday night. How will they rebound after their first defeat? In that game, Bo Wallace lost his composure and didn’t look like the Wallace we’ve seen all season. I think the Rebels will win this game!!!

Rebels Win 23-21

tcu_horned_frogsWest VirginiaNow we head to Big 12 country as the 7th ranked TCU Horned Frogs visit the 20th ranked West Virginia Mountaineers in what is basically a Big 12 elimination game. TCU is coming off a game where they scored 82 points but still need help in winning the conference because they lost to Baylor and they still meet conference leader Kansas State. West Virginia also controls their own destiny because if they beat TCU they still play Kansas State and they handed Baylor their only loss. They have the 9th ranked pass offense in the country and will put up a good fight but will lose.

Horned Frogs Win 45-31

fsu-logolouisvilleThis is the Thursday night game as the 2nd ranked Florida State Seminoles visit the 25th ranked Louisville Cardinal. The Seminoles are trying to continue their undefeated season and try to defend their national championship. They need to win out because if they were to lose a game it could knock them out of playoff contention. The Louisville Cardinal could play spoiler and put a wrench into the championship hopes of the Seminoles. Bobby Petrino is an offensive genius and those Thursday night games have been troubling in the past for highly ranked teams but the Seminoles will barely win.

Seminoles Win 34-24

UtahArizona StateThis is a huge match-up in the Pac-12 South as the 17th ranked Utah Utes visit the 14th ranked Arizona State Sun Devils. The Utes are coming off a huge win over the USC Trojans last week and they could land in the Pac-12 title game because they also face 1-loss Arizona later this year. The Sun Devils have looked great all season except against UCLA where they were blown out for their only loss. Arizona State is a different team when they play at home and that should be the difference in this game because I don’t think Utah is ready for that atmosphere.

Sun Devils Win 45-27

ArizonaLogoUCLA-logo2This is another battle in the Pac-12 as the 12th ranked Arizona Wildcats visit the 22nd ranked UCLA Bruins. Arizona’s only loss was a 2 point loss to USC 3 weeks ago and who knows where they would be if they pulled that game off. The Wildcats score a lot of points while giving up a lot of points in the process, which could make this a shootout. UCLA was a preseason darling because many experts looked at UCLA as one of the teams in the playoffs, playing for the national title and Brett Hundley being the Heisman winner. This should be a shootout and I believe the Bruins will find a way to pull it out.

Bruins Win 45-42

Florida Gators logoGeorgiaThe final game is from the SEC and one of the biggest rivalries in the country as the Florida Gators face the 11th ranked Georgia Bulldogs. The Florida Gators have had an awful season but it could make things better by ruining the playoff hopes of the Georgia Bulldogs. They have looked awful in all aspects of the game but when it comes to rivals, anything can happen. The Georgia Bulldogs will be without RB Todd Gurley but Nick Chubb has done more than exceeded expectations. With Hutson Mason limited @ QB, that could be an issue but in the end I think the Bulldogs will win.

Bulldogs Win 34-21

My Top 5 Teams in the Country:

1) Mississippi State Bulldogs

2) Florida State Seminoles

3) Alabama Crimson Tide

4) Auburn Tigers

5) Notre Dame Fighting Irish

Well that’s it for Week 10 of the college football season and once again, we have some pretty good games to choose from. Hopefully I can continue to head towards the 70% winning percentage. Come back next week to see how I fare with my predictions!!!
