Monday Night Raw Review from Buffalo for November 2014

Monday_Night_Raw

Welcome to another edition of Monday Night Raw as it takes place from Buffalo, New York. Last week was the fallout to the Hell in a Cell PPV and it wasn’t that great and they need to start building excitement for the upcoming Survivor Series PPV. Let’s see how things start to play out on this edition of Raw!!

Good

The Opening Segment: We opened with the music on none other than Mr. McMahon and it’s always good to see Vince. He announced that if Team Authority were to lose @ the Survivor Series that they would lose their power. Great stipulation that ups the ante for the main event @ the PPV!!!

Dean Ambrose vs. Cesaro: Once again this was a good match between these 2 as expected. I really wish they would do more with Cesaro because he’s one of the best wrestlers in the world and WWE now. Still looking forward to the feud between Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose because it has the potential to be great!!

Jey Uso vs. Miz: This wasn’t a great match, but seeing the action on the outside was pretty hilarious seeing how Jimmy Uso was copying how Sandow was copying Miz. Actually like the potential of the feud between these 4.

Focus on Dolph Ziggler: The Authority putting doubt in the head of Dolph Ziggler and trying to get him to leave the side of Cena and join them. Could this be the beginning of a push for Ziggler? After Dolph turned them down, Triple H made the match of Dolph versus Seth Rollins for the IC title.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Seth Rollins: Really good match between 2 and I would love to see a feud between these 2. Great action in this match with several nearfalls that had the crowd really into the match!! With interference from Noble & Mercury, Rollins hit the curb stomp on Ziggler and had the win but Orton came out of nowhere to hit the RKO on Rollins. That lead to Orton storming into the office where Triple H & Stephanie were discussing Orton but Orton demanded and received a match against Rollins.

Rusev vs. Zack Ryder Rusev is so damn impressive and Lana is well………RAVISHING!!!

Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins: What a match!! Does it seem like Orton is more motivated lately because he’s been on fire and I’m looking forward to seeing this feud continue whenever Orton comes back. It was surprising to see Rollins pick up the clean win over Orton and that’s good for his future. Seeing Orton hit Rollins with the RKO and attacking the Authority was crazy and when he was going for the punt Triple H stopped him to talk since to him but after the talk he bumped Triple H and attacked him. In the end, they attacked Orton and Rollins hit the curb stomp on Orton and Orton has been written off after Stephanie said finish him. Rollins hit another curb stomp on Orton from the announce table onto the steel steps. Great ending!!!!

Bad

Sheamus vs. Tyson Kidd: It was nice to see Kidd get a victory on Raw but I have a feeling that’s a 1 time thing. Don’t understand the concept of having Sheamus lose when he’s defending his U.S. title after Raw against Rusev.

Ryback vs. Titus O’Neil: I’m just not a fan of O’Neil even though he’s a really good guy. Can Ryback get back the momentum he lost a couple of years ago?

Big Show vs. Mark Henry: This was just a slow match as expected!!

Nikki Bella vs. Emma: I hate the storyline between Nikki & Brie, also I think that Emma has so much potential from seeing her in NXT.

Fernando vs. Stardust: I’m all for this feud but they really need to make Los Matadores seem legit and not all about El Torito.

Ugly

Xavier Woods Vignette: WTF was that!!!

Overall Rating: 6/10- This week was slightly better than last week because we saw a great main event with a lot of newsworthy storyline progressions. We also saw an appearance from Mr. McMahon to up the ante for the main event of the Survivor Series. Also, we saw a lot of focus on Dolph Ziggler that was followed by a really good match for the IC title against Seth Rollins. We were treated to a really good opening match between Dean Ambrose and Cesaro!!

Top 5 Happenings on Raw:
1) Return of Mr. McMahon
2) New stipulation for the main event at the Survivor Series
3) Focus on Dolph Ziggler followed by match with Seth Rollins
4) Main Event happenings between Randy Orton and the Authority
5) Dean Ambrose vs. Cesaro

What did you think about this edition of Monday Night Raw? What do you think about the stipulation for the main event of the Survivor Series where if the Authority lose, they’re out of power? What were your highlights and lowlights of this edition of Raw?
