Welcome to the 1st of edition of Monday Night Raw of 2015 as it took place in Corpus Christi, TX. Last week we saw Seth Rollins threatened to break the damaged neck of Edge and Cena agreed to bring the Authority back. Let’s see what kind havoc the Authority will cause with their return.

Good

Opening Segment: Cena started out having all the stars in the ring apologizing to them for allowing the Authority to come back. This lead to Triple H & Stephanie and they made fun of some of the things that happened on Raw while they were gone. They brought out Seth Rollins and announced he’ll be involved in the title match between Brock Lesnar and John Cena, making it a 3-way @ the Rumble. They announced that Dolph Ziggler will defend the IC title against Bad News Barrett!!

Dolph Ziggler vs. Bad News Barrett: This match could’ve been better but Ziggler picked up a quick win and then Barrett attacked him afterwards working on his shoulder. Kane came out and mentioned he forgot that the match was actually a 2 out of 3 falls match. When the match started Barrett hit a big boot on Ziggler followed by Wasteland for the pins. After the match, the doctors and referee was checking on him and then they started the match. Barrett hit the big boot and Wasteland again but Ziggler kicked out this time. The 3rd match was pretty good but Barrett hit the Bullhammer Elbow to Ziggler after Kane tried to interfere.

Nikki Bella vs. Natalya: The match was short but Natalya got the win with an assist from Paige. Afterwards, Nikki attacked Natalya until Paige made the save and hit Nikki with the Superkick.

Bray Wyatt vs. Dean Ambrose: They beat the hell out of each other and the crowd was chanting this is awesome. How about the spot where Ambrose hit the big elbow drop from the top of the ambulance onto Bray Wyatt? What a match!!!

The Authority Firing Erick Rowan, Ryback & Dolph Ziggler: Some may hate this angle but I’m going to let this play out before I complain about it.

Bad

The Ascension vs. 2 Jobbers: I actually like the Ascension but they need to have them feuding with someone or have them beat up Los Matadores.

Big Show vs. Roman Reigns: I’m just not a fan of the Big Show anymore. I know they’re using him to further push Reigns but this is a bad match-up for him. That was a pretty sick and dangerous spot when Reigns speared the Big Show when he had the steel stairs up to hit Reigns.

Ryback vs. Kane & Seth Rollins: Wasn’t feeling it too much.

Ugly

Luke Harper vs. Erick Rowan: J&J Security came down as the referees for this match. Harper deserves better than this!!

Adam Rose vs. Big E: Only good thing came out of this was Cesaro & Tyson Kidd dressed as the Rosebuds to attach New Day. I love the potential of the team of Kidd & Cesaro.

Overall Rating: 4.5/10- I’ll be honest, the WWE need to get their heads out of their asses because Raw hasn’t been great for a long time now. With TNA starting over tonight and the emergence of Jeff Jarrett’s Global Wrestling Federation, people should start tuning the WWE out and giving these other guys a chance. The bad outweighed the good once again on Raw but it had some moments. The Ambulance match between Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose was really good, while the IC title match could’ve been better but the 3rd bout was really good. I like the potential of adding Paige to the Bellas and Natalya feud, but I have a feeling the WWE will drop the ball. I’m interested in seeing where things go with the Authority firing Dolph Ziggler, Ryback & Erick Rowan also.

Top 5 Happenings on Raw:
1) The Authority Return & Fire Dolph, Ryback & Rowan
2) No Daniel Bryan
3) Dean Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt
4) Dolph Ziggler vs. Bad News Barrett
5) Paige Helping Natalya in feud with the Bellas
