Daddy’s Hangout Presents NFL Playoffs: Super Bowl 49 Predictions

Super Bowl XLIX logo

Welcome to Super Bowl XLIX and it should be an instant classic between the New England Patriots facing the defending Super Bowl Champs Seattle Seahawks. The Conference Championships featured a blowout in the AFC title game and some controversy with Deflate-Gate and an amazing comeback in the NFC title game when Seattle came back from a 16-point deficit to beat the Packers in OT. I predicted the Packers versus the Patriots in a rematch from earlier in the season to meet in the Super Bowl. My playoff record is 7-3 and my overall record 75-42 making my winning percentage go from 64.4% to 64.1%. Let’s see how things play out in the Super Bowl!!!

Seattle Seahawks logoNew England Patriots logoThe New England Patriots are coming off of blowing out the Indianapolis Colts a couple of weeks ago in the AFC Championship game 45-7 and it was bombarded with controversy with the deflated balls. The Patriots will always be a threat to win championships as long as Tom Brady is the QB and Bill Belichick is the coach. They’ve had a healthy Gronk for the entire year and with them reacquiring LeGarrett Blount the running game is complimenting Tom Brady really good. Can the defense stop Marshawn Lynch and contain Russell Wilson will be the bigger questions for this game. The Seahawks come into this game with the top ranked defense lead by the “Legion of Boom” and a tough front 7 also. The Seahawks offense and Russell Wilson played probably their worse game against the Packers in the 28-22 win in OT. The Patriots will probably be the toughest offense they’ve faced all year and will have to play the game of the year to contain them. This is a tough one to predict and one game I’m actually looking forward to this great game and in the end I’m going with the better defense to win this game and that’s the Seahawks.

Seahawks Win Super Bowl XLIX 26-24
