Vino Venue Presents “Discover South America” Culinary Experience

Discover South America

Kicking off the first event of this year’s exciting culinary series, Vino Venue will present “Discover South America” on Sunday, March 22. The Dunwoody wine bar and bistro hosted multiple sold-out events dedicated to various wine regions throughout 2014 – including “Discover France,” “Discover Italy” and “Discover Spain” – and is thrilled to provide food and wine enthusiasts with the unique opportunity to explore the wines and gourmet cuisine that the South American culture has to offer.

Throughout this walk-around tasting, wines from all of the key regions of Chile and Argentina will be accompanied by samplings of authentic South American “Sole Food” – steak chimichurri, traditional Brazilian churrascaria meats grilled “low ‘n slow,” escabeche, Italian and Spanish cheeses, empanadas, grilled vegetables, live chef stations and more. From quintessential varietals of wines like Malbec, Torrontes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay, to emerging wines such as Pinot Noir and Viognier, the event will provide nearly one hundred wines for patrons to sip and savor. To give guests the ability to extend their enjoyment, many wines and products will be available for purchase during the event.

“The ‘Discover’ tasting events give us a wonderful chance to feature authentic tastes that represent some of the world’s most distinguished cuisines and their complementing wine varieties,” said Michael Bryan, founder of Atlanta Wine School and Vino Venue managing partner. “With such a large and diverse selection of exclusive Latin American food and wines, ‘Discover South America’ will be an exciting way to introduce the extension of our one-of-a-kind culinary series this year.”

The event is open to the general public. Participants have the option to choose to attend one of two flavorful sessions: 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. or 4 to 6 p.m. General admission tickets are $44 in advance and include a Riedel crystal wine glass and unlimited tastings of South American cuisine and wines. For the ultimate “Discover” experience, a VIP ticket is $69 in advance and includes everything offered to general admission ticket holders in additional to VIP-ONLY, high-end wines and specialty cuisine.
