Finally!!! No more frigid weather or being bundled up if you want to go outside because the spring weather has arrived. That means more time spent outside, getting together with family and friends, kids outside playing longer, and most importantly I get the chance to cook on the grill. With Dollar General around the corner, about 10 minutes away from my house, I have started picking up all of my grilling needs there. Talking with other people, I was shocked that they didn’t realize you could some great deals on condiments, food and spices, from Dollar General that’s made by Clover Valley. Trust me; you will Save on your picnic and grilling needs with Dollar General. Which, will have you going back for all your summer cookout needs. If you like to cook in the house like I do, Clever Valley has really got you covered, and I now use their products all the time to replace the much higher priced brands that my wife usually buys! Just to prove my point I used their product for four consecutive nights for dinner. As you see in the picture up above I buy ketchup, mustard, paper plates, spices, pickles, napkins, salad dressing and much more from there.
On the first night I kept it simple by having lasagna along with a salad with cucumbers, grated cheese, bacon bits, onions and tomatoes topped off with Thousand Island dressing and red pepper by Clover Valley.
Now as you’ll see later, I’m a big fan of all things tasting like lemon pepper and you can get that from Dollar General made by Clover Valley also. The next night I made another salad, yes I am a huge fan of salads but this time I baked chicken and used the lemon pepper to add some taste to the chicken and my usual thousand island dressing. This tasted great by the way!!!
The next day was such a beautiful day so we decided that we should be outside cooking. What’s better than just relaxing on the patio, chilling outside watching the kids play while cooking hot dogs and hamburgers? Instead of getting those high paper towels, ketchup, mustard, pickles, chips and cups just head to Dollar General because the only difference you’ll notice is in your wallet.
As I mentioned earlier, I absolutely love anything lemon pepper so I decided that I’ll try to make some myself.
- 3 to 4 lb. Chicken Wings
- ½ to 1 cup of Butter
- 2 Tablespoons of Butter(may need to more or less according to your taste)
- 2 to 3 Teaspoons of Lemon Juice
- You could also use Lemon Peel, but I didn’t add it.
Before putting them in the deep fryer I season them pretty good then put them in the deep fryer around 10 minutes. While the wings are frying, add a stick of butter in a large bowl, big enough to mix your sauces and add wing to it. Add the seasonings to the butter and if it tastes more like lemon then add more butter to it. When the wings are done cooking, drain them and put them in the bowl with the sauce and stir them. Now let me know in the comments section below how did your wings turn out.
