If you look all around you on websites like Instagram, you’ll notice that it seems like everyone is trying to take the perfect pic or selfie. As a parent, I love those family and holiday pictures just as much as anyone, but it just doesn’t beat those unscripted photos. Recently, AVEENO took a survey amongst parents and it revealed that those “unscripted” moments are more beautiful than those planned moments. Looking back throughout all of my kids pictures, I have to agree because we captured so many of those “unscripted” moments of the kids playing, fighting or aggravating one another when they never knew we were around. AVEENO has started a campaign where they encourage you to share those moments by uploading your favorite moments to Instagram, Twitter or Facebook by using the #AVEENO and #UnscriptedBeauty hashtags. You can also upload your photo to their Facebook page and also visit their website to check out all the great products from AVEENO. Here is how the #UnscriptedBeauty contest works:
- Capture photos of the authentic Unscripted Beauty in your life throughout June.
- Post your photos on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook using #AVEENO, #UnscriptedBeauty, and #Contest.
- For Facebook posts, tag @Aveeno.
- Keep celebrating life’s Unscripted Beauty!
One winner will be selected in July to receive a photo-shoot from acclaimed photographer, Danielle Guenther, as well as AVEENO products! One of my favorite “unscripted” moments has to be when I became a father for the first time. The picture up above was taken of me holding my son in the hospital bed taking a nap because I was tired from being up all night watching over him. It’s crazy that I didn’t want the nurses to keep him a second longer and agreed to watch him while my wife slept that night.
