When it comes to music, sometimes there are some artists that I just need to listen to multiple times throughout the week because I respect them, their music and just love what they put out. For the past week, I’ve been listening to Lupe Fiasco because he’s one of those dope artist that I can listen to all the time and wouldn’t get tired of hearing him. As a matter a fact, last week I mentioned him on Instagram because I listened to his debut album, Food & Liquor a few times and just love that album and one that I consider a classic. Since the album dropped in September of 2006, I figured, why not use one of the tracks from the album as my Music Monday? There are so many tracks I could choose from that album, but I decided to go with Daydreamin featuring Jill Scott. Make sure you add this album to your collection if you’re a fan of hip hop because you’ll love it, especially if you are a fan of lyrics, good music and thought provoking music.
