Outdoor Essentials Courtesy of Stanley Products

Today’s post is sponsored by Stanley Brand, but my love for their camping essentials is all my own!

#Stanleyness

Growing up, one of the many things I loved to do with my father was go camping. We usually just set up a tent in the backyard, get the essentials needed for the night, whether it was something to cook, drink or snack on, we always enjoyed those great times together. Those were some of the most memorable times in my life and I remember him telling my kids about those times before he passed and I remember them like they were yesterday. Fast forward to now, I’m a father of three and I wanted to create those memories with my kids, but take them on a trip, but there was one problem, they’re not going somewhere to sleep outside. Since I knew that wasn’t going to work, I figured let’s take a hike because we have a huge amount of land to cover once we pop open the backyard gate for us to cover. That didn’t go over so well, but I told them how much fun I used to have when I was younger and being with a group of friends to just go out on adventures. They said, it’s too hot and they would get thirsty, hungry and just was finding ways so they didn’t have to do it, but I just some new gear from Stanley that would take care of that. We brought the 16q Adventure Cooler that keeps food and drink cold for 27 hours and can hold up to 21 cans. We also brought along the Adventure Camp Cook Set because it’s great if you want to take, prep, cook and enjoy food or drinks in the outdoors, which I can’t wait until it gets cold because it’ll be perfect for hot chocolate, cocoa and coffee.

Woods

Since this was only going to take about 2 or 3 hours, we load a 12 pack of drinks in the cooler and brought along some pinto beans in case they got hungry. Some of these weekends, we kind of miss our old house because there were creeks throughout the woods for us to check out. The area we’re in now has no water, just a bunch of woods and we happen to come up on a baby snake during our adventure and that freaked the kids out. The day was perfect because we all had fun, they learned a lot about the woods, and they said they would rather do it when it’s cold because they were pretty hot and drunk most of the drinks. The only bad part, if you can call it bad was that we didn’t get to check out the Stanley Adventure Camp Cook Set because they weren’t hungry, just thirsty, but my daughter wanted to take some soup just in case. They said, we could use it when we go on the same trip around October or November when it’s not so hot and they can take some of our homemade vegetable soup given to us by my father-in-law.

If you love the outdoors like me then, you’ll need some great products from Stanley to go on your adventure. These great Stanley products are available at this REI page, where they have everything from cooking essentials, storage and different mugs or coolers, to keep your drinks cold or warm.
