Monday Night Raw 9/7/2015

Welcome to another edition of Monday Night Raw as they hail from Baltimore with less than two weeks away from the Night of Champions PPV. Last week wasn’t really a good edition of Monday Night Raw, so hopefully this week will be much better. Let’s get started!!!

Opening Segment: Seth Rollins came out to cut a promo about him being the man and that he’s going to take out two future first ballot Hall of Famers at the Night of Champions PPV. After a while he was interrupted by Sting, who had his statue and told Rollins if he wanted it to come and get it. After that, Rollins was interrupted by Sheamus and he basically let Rollins know that he can cash in his briefcase anytime whether it’s on Monday Night Raw, Smackdown or Night of Champions.

Sasha Banks vs. Paige: This was a pretty physical match-up from these two and the crowd was chanting this is awesome!! In the end, Banks picked up the win and it makes you wonder if she’s next in line to get a shot at the Divas title.

Ryback vs. Seth Rollins: This was a pretty good match between two and I’m surprised how much Ryback has improved. The Big Guy picked up the win after Sting distracted Rollins as he keep playing mind games with Rollins.

Randy Orton vs. Sheamus: They’ve battled so many times throughout the years and this year also, but they still managed to put on a good match. I’m cool with the Wyatt Family attacking Orton after the match because he was seen earlier talking with Ambrose & Reigns. I don’t know why Ambrose & Reigns didn’t come to his defense, but I’m sure that will be addressed later.

Bellas/Team PCB: Next week we will have Charlotte facing Nikki Bella for the Divas title. Will she beat Nikki before she break the record of A.J. Lee? She made Nikki tap during this segment, but I’m going on a limb and say that Paige will cost her the title.

John Cena & Primetime Players vs. Seth Rollins & New Day: This wasn’t a bad main event, but it was more of Seth Rollins losing 2 matches in one night. With Sting appearing at the end to dispose of the statue, how will that affect Rollins?

Rusev/Ziggler: I’m really not feeling this feud and with Lana being out for a few months, where do they go now? I am happy that they brought up the history of Ziggler with women, in particular Summer Rae.

Dudley Boyz vs. Los Matadores: This was a really short match, now it seems like Los Matadores are in for a gimmick change since they attacked El Torito.

Cesaro vs. Miz: Why in the hell isn’t Cesaro in a meaningful feud?

Overall Rating: 6.5/10- This edition of Monday Night Raw was better than the week prior, but they still have a ways to go in many areas. With next week being the season premiere of Monday Night Raw, the return of Monday Night Football and with the Night of Champions being Sunday, they should pull out all the stops. They have already announced a couple of championship matches with the Primetime Players facing New Day with the winners meeting the Dudley Boyz at the PPV. Also, Charlotte will challenge Nikki Bella for the Divas Championship. This week’s Monday Night Raw was highlighted with the Sasha Banks/Paige match; also the Rollins/Ryback and Orton/Sheamus matches were pretty good.
