Monday Night Raw Review 10/5/2015

Big E vs. John Cena from Monday Night Raw

Welcome to another edition of Monday Night Raw as they hailed from Boston, MA. Last week, Monday Night Raw wasn’t as good as I expected it to be, but hopefully things pick up this week as we get closer to the Hell in a Cell PPV. Let’s Get Started!!!

Opening Segment: I’m always for Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman starting off Monday Night Raw because we’ll get the crowd pumped and a great promo from Heyman. When Heyman was talking about it being the final encounter between Undertaker and Lesnar, Big Show interrupted and came to the ring. Big Show said since he’s the bigger man, he wanted to shake his hand, but Lesnar laughed and walked by him. After Big Show insulted him, Lesnar hit the ring and beat down the Big Show.

Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns & Randy Orton vs. Wyatt Family: This was a really good, physical match between these two and I’m looking forward to the Wyatt/Reigns Hell in a Cell match. I really believe the winner should face the WWE champion at the Survivor Series or at least be the #1 contender for the title.

Natalya vs. Paige: This was a pretty good match between these ladies and this is a feud that could potentially be really good.

WWE Partnering with Susan G. Komen campaign: Yes, CM Punk got under people’s skin with his tweet about the foundation, which may be true, but when you see those ladies in the ring that survived breast cancer, there’s a time & place for everything.

Dudley Boyz vs. Kane & Seth Rollins: This was a pretty entertaining match and it was even better when Bubba Ray tagged in. Corporate Kane taken to the back earlier in the match because of his hurt leg, but Demon Kane reemerged and went to attack Rollins, but was met with a 3-D from the Dudley Boyz. Rollins teased Kane while he was lying down and eventually was out through a table.

Team Bella vs. Team B.A.D: This match was set-up earlier when these teams had a confrontation outside the arena. Is there a better or hotter diva in the WWE right now other than Sasha Banks?

U.S Open Challenge: It was supposed to be Dolph Ziggler accepting the challenge, but New Day laid him out before he could come out to challenge Cena. Big E was the one to eventually accept the invitation and his teammates were eventually thrown out and Cena got the win after hitting the AA after Big E tried to hit him with the trombone. Ziggler made the save, but accidentally hit Cena with a super kick and he was being beat down when the Dudleyz hit the ring. Eventually, New Day was the ones left standing after all the carnage!!

Sheamus vs. Neville: Neville deserves better than this, whether it’s the quick loss to Sheamus or the upcoming feud with Barrett. Honestly, I’d rather see Neville & Barrett become a tag team because neither is really doing anything meaningful.

Kevin Owens vs. Sin Cara: At least there was a reason why they fought, but I would love to see Owens face Kalisto in the future.

Rusev/Summer Rae Segment: I’m going to play the wait and see approach before passing judgment, but as of now I’m not feeling whatever they’re doing.

Overall Rating: 6.5/10- This edition of Monday Night Raw was much better than last week, but it still didn’t seem action packed as you want a typical Monday Night Raw. It was really good seeing Sasha Banks back on Monday Night Raw. It was good seeing Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman open Monday Night Raw because hearing Heyman & seeing Lesnar are instant crowd pleasers. The 6-person tag matches between the Wyatts/Orton/Ambrose/Reigns & Team BAD/Team Bella were really good matches. I’m all for the pairing with the Susan G. Komen foundation to fight breast cancer, hell any awareness is cool with me. Great seeing the U.S Open Challenge and it seems like the rumored Ziggler/Cena feud could be on the horizon with Cena getting hit with a super kick from Ziggler on accident.

Top 5 Happenings on Monday Night Raw
1) Honoring the ladies who’s survived breast cancer
2) Brock Lesnar & Paul Heyman
3) Wyatt Family vs. Reigns, Orton & Ambrose
4) New Day
5) Sasha Banks
