NFL Predictions Week 7

Daddy's Hangout NFL Predictions logo

Welcome to Week 7 of the NFL season and it seems like when I take a couple steps forward, I’m always taking a few steps back. Last week my record was 3-3 and it dropped my record to 19-18, which dropped my winning percentage from 51.6% down to 51.4%. This week I’ll be predicting five games and once again I’m hoping to find something positive plus win some games. Let’s Get Started!!

Seattle Seahawks logoSan Francisco 49ers logoHere is the Thursday night game between a couple of teams that’s built up a nice rivalry with both needing a win as the Seattle Seahawks visit the San Francisco 49ers. With these two teams being at the bottom of their division, this is probably a must win. The Seahawks have lost two games in a row and with them traveling to Dallas next weekend; they could use a win before their bye. The 49ers are coming off a hard fought win over the Ravens last week to stop a 4 game losing streak and could use another one with the Rams & Falcons on the horizon before their bye week. Even though the Seahawks haven’t won on the road, I’m going with them!

Seahawks Win 25-24

New York Jets logoNew England Patriots logoThis is probably the game of the week in the NFL as the 5-1 New York Jets visit their rival, 6-0 New England Patriots for a share of first place in the AFC East. The Jets have looked great all season as they’re lead by a stout defense and the running of Chris Ivory. The defense leads the league in points by only giving up 15 points a game and Ivory has been a beast on the ground. On the flip side, what can you say about the Patriots that haven’t been said already because they look unstoppable again out of the gate? They lead the league in scoring and at home, they’re damn near unstoppable and that’s the reason I’m going with the Pats to win.

Patriots Win 31-21

Dallas Cowboys Star LogoNew York Giants LogoThis is a battle between rival NFC East teams that could use a win badly as the Dallas Cowboys visit the New York Giants. The Cowboys offense looked bad the last time we saw them on the field so they made a change at QB. They are still without Dez Bryant & Tony Romo, so they need to start winning some games so they can salvage their season when these two stars return. The Giants are tied with the Eagles for first place in the division and they need a better performance from their offense for them to win this game. New York will fix those issues and I believe they’ll beat the Cowboys to remain in first place.

Giants Win 27-17

Philadelphia Eagles logoThis is the Sunday night game between two division leaders as the Philadelphia Eagles visit the Carolina Panthers. The Eagles lost three out of their first four games, but have since won two in a row to tie the Giants for the division lead. Are the Eagles finally where most people thought they would be seeing how they played the last two games? They will get tested in Carolina on Sunday night. The Carolina Panthers are one of five teams in the NFL that’s still undefeated and they have been successful because of their ground game and their tough defense. With the Panthers being undefeated at home, I’m going with them to win this one.

Panthers Win 23-17

Baltimore Ravens Black LogoArizona Cardinals logoThis is the Monday night game as the Baltimore Ravens visit the Arizona Cardinals. The Ravens are probably the most surprising team in the league as far as their losing record. The close games they usually pull out in the past have been losing this year, which is very surprising, but a win in Arizona on Monday could turn things around for them. After starting the season 30, the Cardinals have lost two out of their last three games and could use the win because they play the Browns on a short week. This is still the 2nd highest scoring offense in the league and I believe they’ll win on Monday night.

Cardinals Win 34-21
