Monday Night Raw Review 11/9/2015

Wyatts vs. Brothers of Destruction

Welcome to another edition of Monday Night Raw as they hail all the way in Manchester. Last week was another great edition of Monday Night Raw and it was announced that we’re going to have a tournament to crown a new champion after the unfortunate injury to Seth Rollins. With less than two weeks away from the Survivor Series in Atlanta, let’s see how things continue to progress.

Good

Opening Segment: Monday Night Raw opened with Triple H coming to the ring to address the world about the injury to Seth Rollins. Afterwards, he introduced Roman Reigns to come to the ring and basically tried to bait him to be a part of the Authority and he wouldn’t have to compete in the tournament. After thinking about it, Reigns turned him down!

Kevin Owens vs. Titus O’Neil: This was actually a pretty decent match and probably one of the better Titus singles matches.

Paige vs. Becky Lynch: This was a pretty good match and I was surprised to see Becky Lynch pick up the win. After the match, Paige attacked her and put her in the PTO on top of the announcers table.

Dolph Ziggler vs. The Miz: This wasn’t a good or bad match, but it’s great to see Ziggler advance in the tournament.

Sheamus vs. Cesaro: What a really good match between these two as expected. This match saw King Barrett get slapped by Wayne Rooney and it was great to see Cesaro get the win in a hard fought match.

Undertaker/Kane Packages All Night: What a trip down memory lane and those brought back so many memories.

Final Segment featuring the Return of Undertaker and Kane: Bray Wyatt cut a really good promo, and then a light and music came on featuring both of them. Afterwards, the thunder and lightning filled the arena followed by the music of Undertaker. We see the Brothers of Destruction came out and surrounded Bray until the arena went dark and the Brothers of Destruction was surrounded by the rest of the Wyatt Family. They both take out the Wyatt Family and the crowd ate every bit of it.

Bad

Roman Reigns vs. Big Show: I get the WWE want to scratch, claw and struggle his way to the championship, but I’m just not a fan of Big Show anymore.

Naomi vs. Natalya: I understand the WWE may have huge plans for Sasha Banks in the future, but the fans want her now.

Dean Ambrose vs. Tyler Breeze: I just didn’t understand why have Breeze in the tournament because we knew he would lose. This could be justified by costing Ziggler his match against Ambrose and beat him down. Am I the only one who would love to see Ambrose win the title?

Injustice for the New Day: It’s crazy how none of the members of New Day are involved in the WWE World title tournament and of course, it lead to a six man tag match.

Overall Rating: 6.5/10- I’m pretty intrigued by the possibilities about the tournament for the WWE Championship. There are three guys I’d love to see win the championship and they’re Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose or Kevin Owens because I know they wouldn’t give Cesaro a shot at the title. For Roman Reigns, he could just go all the way and win the title, but the offer Triple H offered him was intriguing and I wonder if anyone else will take him up on that offer. Dean Ambrose could win the title against Reigns in the finals and they could still be friends until Rollins return. My third option is Kevin Owens and that could be good because of his friendship with Triple H, but where would that leave Sheamus holding the MITB briefcase? Back to Monday Night Raw, I really enjoyed the trip down memory lane with the video packages throughout the night for the Undertaker and Kane. The final segment was awesome seeing the Brothers of Destruction reunite!!!
