Monday Night Raw Review 11/16/2015

Cesaro vs. Roman Reigns Monday Night Raw

Welcome to another edition of Monday Night Raw as they hail from Greenville, SC. Last week was another pretty edition of Monday Night Raw and this week we’ll feature the quarterfinals of the tournament to crown a new WWE World Champion. This coming Sunday will be the Survivor Series in the ATL, which I’m ready to check it out live, so let’s see how things will play out on this edition of Monday Night Raw.

Opening Segment: We kicked out Monday Night Raw with the druids and the familiar bong sound of the Undertaker, then he & Kane came out. Undertaker cut a promo and then the Wyatt Family came out, then Bray cut a promo. The lights went out and the druids all had sheep mask on and then they attacked the Brothers of Destruction. Kane & Undertaker cleared the ring and called out the Wyatt Family.

Neville vs. Kevin Owens: This was an awesome match between these two as expected and this match had some incredible spots in it and I’m cool with Owens winning. Please WWE, if you’re listening do something with Neville because he’s a special kind of performer.

Dean Ambrose vs. Dolph Ziggler: This was another really good quarterfinals match-up between these two with both doing everything they can to win. I’m cool with Ambrose winning; actually he’s my pick to win it all.

Roman Reigns vs. Cesaro: All I have to say is WOW!! This was a helluva match between these two and the crowd was really into the match the entire time by chanting for both of their names and say ‘this is awesome’. The WWE is building their future around Roman Reigns, but Cesaro need to be in the world title picture because the crowd is really into his matches.

Divas Championship Contract Signing: First off I’d like to give the WWE props for putting something to do with the divas in the main event on Monday Night Raw, that’s a huge step. As far as the contract signing, I was blown away and shocked when Paige mentioned Charlotte’s brother, Reid who passed away a couple of years ago. Afterwards, they fought and officials had to separate those two to end a really good segment.

Tyler Breeze vs. R-Truth: Anytime R-Truth is in the match, you know he’s losing, but I’m glad Breeze got a win.

New Day vs. Usos & Ryback: This match had a little action before the DQ finish, but I really wasn’t feeling it.

Dudley Boyz vs. Ascension: This was just a filler match and the Dudley Boyz deserve so much better.

Kalisto vs. Alberto Del Rio: The match was pretty sloppy, but I think it has to do more with Del Rio than Kalisto.

Overall Rating: 6/10- This was another pretty good edition of Monday Night Raw that featured three damn good quarterfinal matches in the tournament to crown a new WWE Champion. The opening segment was really good and the druids having sheep mask was a really nice twist and the Divas Championship contract signing was really good and controversial that opened some old wounds.
