Monday Night Raw Review 11/23/2015 from Nashville, TN

Monday Night Raw 11/23/2015

Welcome to another edition of Monday Night Raw as it took place in Nashville, TN, one night after the Survivor Series, in which I wasn’t too pleased with. Coming into Monday Night Raw, we wanted to know what was up with Roman Reigns the night after winning the championship only to have Sheamus cash in his briefcase and become the new WWE Champion. With so many absences and injuries to some of the key performers on the roster, I was wondering where all of this is headed because now they’re without John Cena, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan and now Cesaro, what will happen? Let’s Get Started!!!

Good
Opening Segment: Monday Night Raw started off with the Authority coming to the ring welcoming everyone to the show. Stephanie pointed out that Reigns wasted another opportunity and Triple H talked about he wanted to congratulate Reigns on winning the title, but he got a spear for those efforts. They introduced Sheamus, and then the crowd started chanting, ‘You Look Stupid’ and he said there’s nothing they can say to ruin his mood. Roman Reigns made his way out, then Stephanie got in his face and then he called out Triple H, in which Triple H cut a promo on Reigns. After turning down the offer Reigns asked for about a rematch, they said no, but he’ll get his rematch down the road and as they left, Rusev snuck in the ring and hit Reigns with a superkick. After Reigns got up, Sheamus hit him with the Brogue Kick, they left and Triple H said Reigns would get his rematch at the TLC PPV.

Bray Wyatt & Luke Harper vs. Dudley Boyz: I’m cool with the Wyatts getting the win here and the post-match beat down of the Dudley Boyz also. They need to be a dominant group and this is the right step in the direction.

Charlotte vs. Paige: This was a really good match and they told a great story. They beat the hell out of each other and they outdid their match they had at the Survivor Series. In the end, Paige had Charlotte in the PTO on the announcers table and wouldn’t let go.

Roman Reigns vs. Rusev: This was a pretty good match between these two with both beating the hell out of each other. In the end, Barrett tried to interfere but was met with a chair from Reigns as was Sheamus.

Bad
Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch: This was pitiful having them wrestle like a four minute match when they’re responsible for some of the best women matches in NXT.

New Day/Usos/Lucha Dragons: The segment started off great with New Day coming down in their cowboy gear poking fun at the Nashville crowd. When the Dragons & Usos joined them, it went on a little too long and they got beat down in the process. Hopefully we’ll get to see a TLC match between the three teams at the PPV.

Mark Henry vs. Neville: Both of these guys deserve so much better!

Primetime Players & Goldust vs. Stardust & The Ascension: I don’t know where any of these guys are going after this match, but I would like to see the brothers face each other.

Ryback Attacks Heath Slater: Slater was in the ring playing some country music, but was interrupted by Ryback and beat down for it.

Dolph Ziggler & Dean Ambrose vs. Kevin Owens & Tyler Breeze: I’m cool with the match, but they didn’t have Ambrose say a word about what happened the night before.

Overall Rating: 4/10- I’ll be honest, I feel like Mick Foley who says he’s about to be a former WWE fan because the booking has been atrocious. The only things that were good on Monday Night Raw was the Wyatts being built back up, Reigns/Rusev match and the Charlotte/Paige match was really good. As far as the rest of Monday Night Raw, the roster has to be weak right now if we saw appearances from Heath Slater, Jack Swagger and Mark Henry.

Top 5 Happenings on Monday Night Raw:
1) Charlotte vs. Paige
2) Wyatts Being Built Back Up
3) Roman Reigns vs. Rusev
4) Opening Segment
5) Atrocious Booking
