NFL Predictions for Week 13 as of December 3rd

Daddy's Hangout NFL Predictions logo

Welcome to Week 13 of the NFL season and this marks the beginning of the final quarter of the season. A couple of weeks ago I thought things were finally turning around with my 4-0 record, but last week my record was 3-4. My overall record falls to 38-31, dropping my overall winning percentage from 56.5% to 55.1%. This week I’ll be predicting six games and at the rate I’m going, I’ll settle for just a winning record at the end of the season. Let’s Get Started!!!

Green Bay Packers logoDetroit Lions helmet logoThis is the Thursday night game between NFC North rivals that’s going in different directions as the Green Bay Packers visit the Detroit Lions. The Packers started the season 6-0, but have since lost 4 of 5 games including one against these Lions a few weeks ago. Aaron Rodgers hasn’t looked like the league’s best QB and the offense has struggled mightily during this streak. The Lions on the other hand started the season 1-7 and have since won three games in a row as the defense has looked like the defense they put on the field last year. Can the Lions make it four in a row? I’m going with the Packers to get the win!!

Packers Win 26-24

New York Giants LogoNew York Jets logoThis is the battle of New York as the Giants battle the Jets with both of them fighting for playoffs spots in their conference. The Jets are in a log jam with four other teams with a 6-5 record for the first Wild Card spot in the AFC. In a key match-up, the Jets will probably be without CB Darrelle Revis, who’s still dealing with concussion symptoms. The Giants are tied with the Washington Redskins for first place in their division despite having a 5-6 record. The Giants need this game because they have the Dolphins, Panthers and Vikings their next three games. With Revis out, I’m going with the Giants to win!!

Giants Win 27-24

Seattle Seahawks logoMinnesota Vikings logoThis is probably the big game of this week as the Seattle Seahawks visit the Minnesota Vikings. The Seahawks have seemed to finally found themselves after winning their last 4 out of 5 games and now holding the last Wild Card spot in the NFC. This Seahawks team has been led by the offense with Russell Wilson throwing for five touchdowns last week, can this trend continue? The Vikings are alone atop of the NFC North with their win last week in Atlanta and Adrian Peterson looking like the best back in the league. This is a possible playoff preview and one I believe the Vikings will win.

Vikings Win 26-21

Kansas City Chiefs logoOakland Raider logoThis is a battle between a couple of AFC West rivals as the Kansas City Chiefs visit the Oakland Raiders for a potential playoff spot. The Chiefs seemed like their season was over when they dropped to 1-5 and they already lost RB Jamaal Charles for the season. Now they have won 5 games in a row, the Chiefs are one of the hottest teams in the league and this game against the Raiders is huge. The Oakland Raiders finally got rid of their 3 game losing streaks last week with a win over the Titans. Can this young Raiders team make a run into the playoffs? I’m going with the Chiefs on this one!!

Chiefs Win 23-21

Indianapolis Colts logoPittsburgh Steelers logoThis is the Sunday night game between a couple of teams that’s battling for the playoffs as the Indianapolis Colts visiting the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Colts are tied atop of the AFC South division with the Houston Texans after winning three games in a row. The Colts have looked like the team that many thought they would be when the season started and they’re looking to make it four in a row. The Steelers are coming off a tough loss last week in Seattle and there’s a question about Big Ben with his being placed in the concussion protocol. I still think the Steelers are one of the best teams in the league and will win.

Steelers Win 38-28

Dallas Cowboys Star LogoWashingtonRedskins logoThis is the Monday Night game between longtime rivals representing the NFC East as the Dallas Cowboys visit the Washington Redskins. The Cowboys lost Tony Romo again last week to another collarbone injury and he’s done for the season. The season for the Cowboys is pretty much done despite being in a weak NFC East, but can they spoil the Redskins season with a huge upset. The Redskins are coming off a tough win over the Giants to grab a share of the division. They control their own destiny because if they win out, they’ll win the division and make the playoffs. I’m going with the Redskins for the win!!

Redskins Win 30-20
