Monday Night Raw Review for 1/25/2016 from Miami

Monday Night Raw Miami

Welcome to another edition of Monday Night Raw from Miami, which is the night after a very good Royal Rumble PPV. With so much happening at the Royal Rumble from Triple H becoming the new WWE champion, A.J. Styles debuting with the WWE or Sasha Banks attacking Charlotte, there’s so much to be expected from Monday Night Raw. Let’s Get Started!!

Good
Opening Segment: Monday Night Raw started with Vince & Stephanie coming to the ring and the first thing Mr. McMahon done was tell the audience to shut up. After both of them cut promos about Roman Reigns, the introduced the new WWE champion, Triple H. Triple H cut a promo about why he’s the new champ and that Roman Reigns doesn’t need the title because he need to earn some respect. After Triple H finished his promo, Stephanie said that tonight they’ll announce who would be in the main event of the Fastlane PPV with the winner facing Triple H for the title at WrestleMania.

Kevin Owens vs. Dolph Ziggler: This match was good as expected with both of them getting in a good amount of offense. In the end, Owens knocked Ziggler off the top rope and then hit the pop-up powerbomb for the win.

A.J. Styles vs. Chris Jericho: Wow!!! What a really good match between these two as expected. After some counters by both guys, Styles rolled Jericho up to get the win. After the match, they shook hands.

Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch: This match came about because Sasha Banks attacked Lynch before she attacked Charlotte. The match was pretty good and when Sasha had Becky in the Banks Statement, Charlotte attacked both.

The Rock Returns: The whole entire segment was funny as hell and it reminded me why I miss the Rock so damn much.

Kalisto vs. Miz: This was actually a pretty good match between these two. I’m curious to see how things will go with him as the United States Champ.

Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose vs. Sheamus & Rusev: Very physical match with a lot of actions and in the end, Reigns hit the spear on Sheamus to pick up the win. After the match, the powerbombed Rusev through the announce table and Stephanie came out an announced that Ambrose, Lesnar & Reigns will fight in a triple threat match at the Fast Lane PPV and the winner will face Triple H for the title at WrestleMania.

Bad
Dudley Boyz vs. Social Outcasts: The segment before this match between the Social Outcasts and FloRida was cringe worthy, but Bo Dallas was pretty funny. I have no idea what they’re doing with the Dudley Boyz, it seems like they’ve been jobbers in the tag team division.

Bray Wyatt vs. Kane: This match really wasn’t exciting at all.

Paige & Natalya vs. Brie Bella & Alicia Fox: This match was short & it seems like Team Bella are now jobbers.

Overall Rating: 7/10- This was a really good edition of Monday Night Raw that was headlined by the return of The Rock and how the crowd loved every bit of his segment. His segment included insulting the Miz, greeting Rick Ross, making Big Show cry, messing with Lana & Rusev, greeting Pat Patterson and showing him all the way from backstage to his entrance into the arena. It was announced during the opening segment that Triple H will defend his newly won championship at WrestleMania against the winner of the main event that they’ll announce later. Stephanie announced the triple threat match between Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose at the Fastlane PPV. The match of the night was definitely between Chris Jericho and A.J. Styles, who made his Monday Night Raw debut. It seems things are heating up in the Divas division after Charlotte attacked Sasha Banks & Becky Lynch, also Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens had a really good match and Kalisto retaining his title in a good match against the Miz.
