We’re finally here!! After a very long and exciting NBA playoffs, we now have the NBA Finals which is a rematch from last year’s championship series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. The Cleveland Cavaliers had a pretty easy road to the championship with them sweeping the Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks before beating the Toronto Raptors 4-2. On the other hand, the Golden State Warriors had a much harder road to the championship to go along with the team dealing with injuries to reigning, two-time league MVP Steph Curry. They started the playoffs by beating the Houston Rockets 4-1 in a rematch of the Western Conference Finals from a year ago, outlasted the Portland Trailblazers 4-1 and then beat the Oklahoma City Thunder in 7 games to advance to the NBA Finals. Cleveland has looked like the Warriors in the playoffs with the barrage of 3s they have been making as a team, the question is, can they keep up with that pace against the Warriors defense? The Warriors have to be concerned with the health of Steph Curry because he’s dealing with various injuries, but Klay Thompson has been playing lights out, will that continue in this series?
It’s that time again and we have a reach of the 2015 NBA Finals as Golden State Warriors meet the Cleveland Cavaliers for the championship. The Cavaliers will be with Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving, something they didn’t have last year because both was injured for the championship series with Love being injured in Game 1 of the opening round and Irving getting hurt in the opening game of the NBA Finals. With Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love being in the lineup, will that be enough for the Cavaliers to dethrone the champions and finally bring a championship back to Cleveland? The Golden State Warriors came back from a 3-1 deficit to make it to the NBA Finals and that was done by great defense, the Splash Brothers and the determination that makes a champion. With all the talk about who’s the face of the league and the constant comparing of Steph Curry and LeBron James, which I find it ludicrous because it’s like comparing 2Pac & Biggie when they’re two different players, but the argument continues. They both bring different aspects to the game and they’re exciting players to watch from a fan point. This should be a very exciting, competitive series that many people expect to possibly go all seven games and if so, will the Warriors have enough in them to stay competitive throughout? With the inclusion of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love, can the Cavaliers bring the championship to Cleveland? I’m going with the Warriors to win another competitive series and bring the title back to Oakland for the second year in a row.
