Monday Night Raw from Oklahoma City

Monday Night Raw Oklahoma City

Welcome to another edition of Monday Night Raw with it taking place in Oklahoma City. Last week was another pretty edition of Monday Night Raw and with the Money in the Bank PPV less than two weeks away, let’s see what took place on Monday Night Raw. With so much going on in the world with the unfortunate passing of the GREATEST, Muhammad Ali and late Monday night, famous fighter Kimbo Slice passed away.

Hit

Opening Segment: Monday Night Raw from Oklahoma City started with all the guys involved in the Money in the Bank ladder match on top of the ladders except Ambrose who was making his way to the ring. They all cut promos on top of the ladders before they all started fighting all over the place, but the music of Teddy Long hit and he returned to the WWE. He announced if he was running the show that he would have the chance to make several matches, but he was interrupted by Stephanie and asked why he was out there. She went on to make three separate matches between the MITB match contestants.

Chris Jericho vs. Cesaro: This was the first match she made and let’s say it was a really good match as expected between the two guys. The match had some pretty good spots and in the end, Cesaro won via submission with the Sharpshooter.

Muhammad Ali Tributes All Night: The WWE did their thing with the tributes to the Greatest whether it was pics, footage or the tweets from some of the biggest WWE stars ever.

Roman Reigns/Seth Rollins Segments: These segments were really good and it was great seeing some of the great moments from the Shield. I’m really looking forward to this match and these segments were exactly what I needed to get motivated for it.

Rusev vs. Jack Swagger: I really wish they would give Swagger another push or at least start having him on TV because he’s a really good wrestler. The match was pretty good and physical, but Rusev pushed Swagger into Titus O’Neil who was on commentary to win the match. The fight continued after the bell with Rusev attacking Swagger until O’Neil got in the ring and Rusev attacked him and eventually Swagger & O’Neil got the best of Rusev.

John Cena Promo: John Cena talked about how excited the wrestling world was when they had Styles & Cena in the ring, which was thought to never would happen. Cena said the only person he’s had that kind of magic with and that was The Rock. With that said, he asked Styles to come out to explain his actions and then the Club came out. After cutting promos on each other, The Club made their way to the ring and was about to attack Cena, but New Day made the save.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Sami Zayn: This wasn’t a great match, but a solid one and I’m looking forward to the ladder match at the PPV still.

Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose: This was another really good match between guys that will be involved in the Money in the Bank ladder match. These two have had several matches in the WWE and they all have been good. In the end, Ambrose hit Dirty Deeds on Owens to pick up the win.

The Club vs. New Day: It was announced earlier that the New Day would defend their championships at the Money in the Bank PPV against The Club, Vaudevillians and Enzo & Cass. They started this match as a brawl with all 6 men fighting each other, but Woods got taken out when Styles hit the Styles Clash on the outside of the ring. In the end, The Club picked up the win when Styles hit the Phenomenal Elbow on Kofi Kingston. After the match, The Club continued to attack the New Day, but Cena made the save.

Miss

Charlotte/Dana Brooke/Natalya/Becky Lynch Segment: This segment seems a bit off for some reason.

R-Truth vs. Tyler Breeze: I think Fandango & Breeze could be a good tag team that gets them away from Goldust & R-Truth.

Overall Rating: 7.5/10- This was another really good edition of Monday Night Raw and my only gripes were the ladies segment and the so-called feud between Golden Truth and Fandango & Tyler Breeze.
