Watch These Great Sporting Events taking Place This Weekend

Sporting Events This Weekend

The weekend has finally arrived, and it couldn’t get here any sooner than it did. This week has been a hectic week with the kids finishing their second week of school, a lot going on at my work with me currently looking elsewhere for employment, been a pretty busy week in the blogging world and recently, my wife and I celebrated us being together for 19 years. Since I’m a huge sports fan and work the night-shift, I never get to watch sports like I want to and have to wait until the weekends to catch what little I can or just some highlights. This weekend will be full of excitement with so many events going on that I’m going to be in front of the TV and on my iPad pretty much the entire time.

UFC 202

UFC 202- Sporting Events this Weekend

Do I need to mention the entire card because we all are ready for the rematch between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor? We all have heard the soundbites from Conor McGregor leading up to the fight where he’s basically selling the fight. He’s had gone out of his way to diss the whole WWE by going after the entire locker room and even name dropping John Cena. If that wasn’t enough, Diaz has had his moments, but not as extreme as McGregor as he’s only targeted Conor not anyone else. If all of that wasn’t enough, during a press conference, we saw a water bottle fight between the two and almost fought after the weigh-in. Are you ready for Saturday night?

2016 Olympics

2016 Olympics- Sporting Events This Weekend

I’ll be honest; I’ve never been a big fan of the Olympics, only following the Men’s Basketball team and pretty much nothing else, but I’ve always wanted the United States to win the most Gold medals. It’s crazy how much things have changed because I’m addicted to the Olympics, and the stories have been compelling to say the least. With the great stories about Simone Biles, Michael Phelps, Usain Bolt, Katie Ledecky and countless other stories coming from the Olympics, not the negative press though. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still following the Men & Women’s Basketball teams as they play for the Gold medal, but I’m becoming a huge fan of swimming and gymnastics now.

NXTTakeover II: Brooklyn

NXT- Sporting Events This Weekend

If you have followed NXT, then you know that these Takeover Specials have produced some of the best wrestling you’ll ever see. This one shouldn’t be any different with it being headlined by two of the best wrestlers in the world as Samoa Joe defends his NXT title against Shinsuke Nakamura. The co-main event will be a rematch for the NXT Women’s championship as the Asuka defends against former champ, Bayley. This will be another great card that also features two of my personal favorites in Bobby Roode and Austin Aries. You can check out this on the WWE Network on Saturday night with it starting at 8.

Preseason Football

Preseason Football- Sproitng Events This Weekend

My wife will be the first to tell anyone that our marriage is on hold from mid-August to February because I’m a football fanatic. I didn’t get to watch none of the six games on Thursday, which included my Philadelphia Eagles, but I did catch the three games on Friday night. Saturday night will feature seven games with a couple of them coming on early so that means I’ll be flipping between the games and the Olympics.

WWE Summerslam

WWE Summerslam- Sporting Events This Weekend

This Summerslam got the potential to be pretty special and this is the biggest card ever. The card is stacked with great matches between Balor/Rollins, Cena/Styles, Ambrose/Ziggler, Lesnar/Orton, Sasha Banks/Charlotte, Cesaro/Sheamus and Rusev/Reigns. Usually, the main roster tries to upstage the talent from NXT after their NXTTakeover special. I’m expecting a great PPV and I’ll have my review up on Tuesday.

Little League World Series

Little League World Series- Sporting Events This Weekend

I love watching the Little League World Series because it brings back so many memories when I played baseball and as a parent, I love watching the kids compete. They have been competing on ESPN all week and this Saturday will feature a total of four games. The games start at 12 with a matchup between Mexico/Italy, then Oregon/Rhode Island, Japan/Curacao and finishing with Texas/California. Trust me; watch these great games because they produce great games, moments and memories for everyone.
