Daddy’s Hangout NFL Predictions for Week 2

Welcome to the 2nd week of the NFL season and let’s say that it was a pretty wild weekend of football. Last week could’ve been much worse, but I managed to finish with a 4-4 record just like my first weekend of college football. With the hopes of improving my record and eventually get to the 70% winning percentage, I’ll be predicting seven games this week. Let’s get started!!

New York Jets logo NFLBuffalo Bills Helmet logoWe’re going to start with the Thursday night game as the New York Jets visit the Buffalo Bills in an AFC East battle. Both of these teams wanted to start off fast because the Patriots being without Tom Brady the first four games, but loss their openers. The Jets lost a tough match-up against the Bengals the previous week and now they must try to get a tough road win against division for, Buffalo. On the other hand, the Bills offense looked horrible and now they’re dealing with their top WR, Sammy Watkins experiencing discomfort in his surgically repaired foot. With both teams needing a win, I’m going with the Jets to win on the road in this one.

Jets Win 26-17

Cincinnati Bengals NFL helmet logoPittsburgh Steelers NFL logo NFLWe have another game that features division rivals as the Cincinnati Bengals visit the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bengals defeated another playoff caliber team in the Jets in Week 1 as A.J. Green had an incredible game with 12 receptions for 180 yards. Despite being an opening day game, that game last week felt like a playoff game and they could meet again in the postseason. The Pittsburgh Steelers were probably the most impressive team during Week 1 with their blowout win over the Washington Redskins on the road Monday night. These two always have tough, physical games and I think the Steelers win this game.

Steelers Win 27-21

Kansas City Chiefs NFL logoHouston Texans Logo NFLThese two teams come into this game winning their opening games as the Kansas City Chiefs visit the Houston Texans. The Kansas City Chiefs had an impressive comeback against the San Diego Chargers last week as Alex Smith had a career game and the Chiefs showed why some people think they could make a Super Bowl run. Can the Chiefs continue their momentum? The Houston Texans were victorious in their game against the Bears with the offense looking pretty good with Lamar Miller and rookie WR Will Fuller complimenting Brock Osweiler really good. I’m going with the Chiefs to pull out the win!!

Chiefs Win 30-28

Dallas Cowboys Star Logo NFLWashingtonRedskins NFL logoWe have a battle between NFC East rivals as the Dallas Cowboys visit the Washington Redskins. The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a crushing loss at home last week against the Giants by 1 point. Dak Prescott played a pretty efficient game, while Ezekiel Elliott had a very lackluster game in his debut. Will the Cowboys be able to rebound from their tough loss and beat the Redskins? The Washington Redskins are coming off of being embarrassed on Monday Night Football against the Steelers. What better way for them to get over their loss then by beating their rival Cowboys? I’m going with the Redskins to beat the Cowboys!!

Redskins Win 24-21

Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL logo NFLArizona Cardinals logo NFLThis match-up should be a sleeper as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visit the Arizona Cardinals. The Buccaneers had an impressive game against division foe, Atlanta Falcons on the road and leaving with the win. Jameis Winston looked like an MVP candidate with his 4 TD performance and with Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson; this could be trouble for the opposition this year. The Arizona Cardinals lost to the New England Patriots when they missed a FG at the end of the game. The Cardinals are still one of the favorites to reach the Super Bowl from the NFC and I think they’ll win this game.

Cardinals Win 31-17

Green Bay Packers NFL logoMinnesota Vikings NFL logoThis is the Sunday night game between NFC North rivals with the Green Bay Packers visiting the Minnesota Vikings. Green Bay had an impressive outing last week against the upstart Jacksonville Jaguars. Aaron Rodgers looked like the best QB in the league as I’ve said for the past few years and the Packers are getting healthy. How will the Packers fare against the Vikings defense? Last week the Vikings needed the defense to carry them to the win over the Titans, but this week they’ll need the offense to provide a spark. Can Adrian Peterson rebound and have a big game against the Packers? I’m going with the Packers to win on the road!!

Packers Win 23-21

Philadelphia Eagles logo NFLChicago Bears LogoThe final game of the week is the Monday Night game as the Philadelphia Eagles visit the Chicago Bears. Carson Wentz was the talk of the NFL after his impressive outing in his debut, but this week he’ll have a tougher defense on a bigger stage. Can the Eagles continue to play great on both sides of the ball and walk away with a huge win on Monday Night? The Chicago Bears lost their opening game against the Houston Texans where the defense played great. On the other hand, the Bears offense still need to improve, but I think they will this game and will defeat the Eagles.

Bears Win 30-21
