Daddy’s Hangout 10th Week College Football Predictions

Daddy's Hangout NCAA Football Predictions logo

Welcome to the 10th week of the college football season and the first weekend of November. The first college football playoff rankings were released on Tuesday and everything went according to plan, except Texas A&M being ranked over undefeated Washington. Last week my record was 5-2, which raised my overall record to 37-16. My winning percentage barely went up from 69.6% to 69.8%. There aren’t many really good games this weekend; as a matter of fact I’ll be predicting a total of three games. One of the games is a top-15 match-up with the other being a battle of teams in the top-10. Hopefully I’ll leave this weekend with a 70% winning percentage.

Alabama Logo College FootballLSU Tigers logo CollegeThe first big game of the weekend has become one of the biggest rivalry games. The top ranked Alabama Crimson Tide visit the 15th ranked LSU Tigers. Alabama has been the consensus #1 team from the start of the season. Think about it, the Alabama defense score just as much as some offenses in the country. On the offensive side of the ball, they have continued to shine as they’re led by Jalen Hurts. Ever since Coach Les Miles was fired it seem like it woke up this Tigers team. With Leonard Fournette being healthy coming into this game, can they pull off the huge upset? This should be a close game, but the Tide should squeak by the Tigers on the road.

Alabama Win 26-24

Nebraska logo CollegeOhio State Logo NCAA College FootballThe other big game of the weekend is courtesy of the Big 10 Conference. The 10th ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers visit the 6th ranked Ohio State Buckeyes in what could be a preview of the conference championship game. I’ll be honest; I didn’t take Nebraska seriously until their game last week in Wisconsin. Despite their loss, the Cornhuskers showed they’re legit and great on both sides of the ball. With the Ohio State Buckeyes, even though they have lost a game, they pretty much still control their own destiny. If they win out and beat Michigan in the final game, they should make it to the playoffs if they win their conference title game. I’m going with the Buckeyes to take care of business at home.

Ohio State Win 34-24

Florida Gators logo NCAA CollegeArkansas Razorbacks logo College FootballThe final game of the week will take place in the SEC as 10th ranked Florida visit the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Florida Gators are looking to clinch the SEC East with a win and a loss by Kentucky. With that, they Gators are still in the hunt for the playoffs as they still have to face the Florida State Seminoles. If they reach the SEC Championship game and beat Alabama, could they sneak into the playoffs? On the other hand, Arkansas is coming off their bye week after getting beat down by Auburn the week before. Can the Arkansas Razorbacks play spoiler in this game against Florida? This should be a tough one, but I think the Gators will eventually pull it off.

Florida Win 26-24
