Daddy’s Hangout Presents 9th Week NFL Predictions

NFL

Welcome to the 9th week of the NFL season and this is officially the half way mark. Last week my record was 6-2, which includes not counting the tie between the Washington Redskins and Cincinnati Bengals from London. My overall record jumps to 29-24, which boosts my winning percentage from 51.1% to 54.7%. This week I’ll be predicting a total of six games with the hopes of raising my winning percentage. The big news of the week has to be the probability of Big Ben playing 2 weeks after knee surgery. With that said, let’s get this week started!!

Atlanta Falcons NFL logoTampa Bay Buccaneers NFL logo NFLWe start the week off in the NFC East with the Thursday night game in Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers will host the divisional leading, Atlanta Falcons with hopes of preventing the Falcons from running away with the division. Last week, Atlanta stopped their two game losing streak by edging out the Green Bay Packers and they’re hoping to continue that trend. Can the Falcons pick up the huge road win? The Tampa Bay Buccaneers face a must-win game tonight because with a win, they will tie the Falcons in the loss column. Tampa Bay has won three games in a row against the Falcons, meaning Winston is unbeaten against Atlanta. With the lack of RBs for the Bucs, I think Atlanta will pick up the win.

Atlanta Win 31-24

Philadelphia Eagles logo NFLNew York Giants Logo NFLWe head to the NFC East where a pair of teams is looking to lock in that 2nd place position. The New York Giants, coming off their bye week will host the Philadelphia Eagles. Philadelphia is coming off a tough loss last Sunday night in Dallas in OT. With that loss, it showed the Eagles defense is legit, but it also showed that they need help at the WR position. Can the Eagles pull off the road win? With the New York Giants, they have been up-and-down for this season on both sides of the ball. It seems like Odell Beckham Jr. is starting to heat up, but the defense need to pick it up if they’re going to make a run. In this game, I’m going with the Giants to take care of business at home.

New York Win 27-20

Detroit Lions helmet logo NFLMinnesota Vikings NFL logoWe head to the NFC North division as the Minnesota Vikings host the Detroit Lions. The Minnesota Vikings are coming off another tough loss last week against the Bears on Monday Night. With all the injuries this team is dealing with and now their Offensive Coordinator, Norv Turner resigning in the middle of the week things gotten worse. Can the Vikings overcome this losing streak and beat Detroit? Matthew Stafford is an MVP-candidate this season as he’s had a great season thus far. The Lions are hoping to get back in the mix of this division against the struggling Vikings. I’m going with the Vikings to get back to their winning ways in this one.

Minnesota Win 28-21

Denver Broncos logo NFLOakland Raider logoIf you’re looking for the best game of the week, this has to be the one right here. The Denver Broncos will travel to Oakland to play the Raiders for first place in the division. Denver comes into this game on a 2-game winning streak and Von Miller playing like the best defensive player in the league. Can Denver travel to the Bay Area and pick up the huge win over the Raiders? Oakland is having a great season as third year QB Derek Carr is playing like an MVP-candidate. Last week, despite having over 200 yards in penalties won last week against the Bucs, but Carr passed for over 500 yards. Oakland seems like they can’t win at home and I think this continues as Denver wins.

Denver Win 31-30

Buffalo Bills Helmet logoSeattle Seahawks NFL logoThe final game of the week will see Buffalo visit the Seattle Seahawks on the Monday night game. The Bills come into this game on a 2-game losing streak after their amazing four game winning streak. The big issue for the Bills is the uncertainty of LeSean McCoy as he’s still dealing with a hamstring injury. With the Bills playing the tough Seahawks defense, Tyrod Taylor needs all the help he can get. The Seattle Seahawks come into this game undefeated at home this year, plus Russell Wilson in 5-0 on Monday night games. Can the Bills end their two game losing streak in Seattle? I’m going with the Seahawks to win in a defensive game on Monday.

Seattle Win 19-17
