Why Staying in a Self-Catered Villa Is Beneficial?

Greece is one of the most visited countries in the world and hosts around 20 million visitors every year. The tourist-heavy country is home to many fashionable resorts on its mainland and dozens of private islands on the Aegean Sea. Therefore, few travel experiences can match a holiday in Greece, because where else would you find such a heavenly mix of vintage wonders, stunning beaches and luxurious villas?

Greek holidays offer an all-out choice from the pleasant and green Ionian Islands to the ancient wonders of Athens. However, if your Greek holiday allows you to visit only a couple of places, then you should consider staying on the island of Mykonos.

The best way to experience your Greek adventure is to go with self-catering accommodation by renting an apartment in Athens and a lavish villa on the island of Mykonos.

While the first half of your Greek holiday may be historically-driven, the second half will bring you much closer to luxury if you decide to stay in a Mykonos villa. Renting a villa has plenty of benefits. For instance, you have the freedom and privacy making it perfect for families and the opportunity to take in the destination like a local. The location is of premium importance as it dictates what the surrounding ambiance should offer regarding culture, landscape and activities.

Accordingly, staying in a self-catered villa in Mykonos is popular since this island is one of the most visited holiday destinations in Europe and has earned a global reputation for its nightlife. The island is predominantly famous for its lovely whitewashed buildings, which complement the nearby turquoise sea and the island’s surreal sandy beaches.

Such villas offer much more than just a place to rest your head, as where you choose to base yourself shapes your entire holiday experience. You can consider it an option that offers the best of both worlds. You get the flexibility of self-catering with a level of privacy that only a premium holiday package offers. Many travelers support the statement that renting a self-catered villa is the most peaceful way to enjoy the relaxed Greek lifestyle.

Additionally, there are no timetables which means whether you are looking for a private retreat, spectacular sea views or just want to be close to the golden beaches, you can do all of that at any time your heart desires. It will also enable you to escape the clichéd tourist trail and get closer to the Greek life and culture and when none of it inspires you, take a dip in your own private pool with the confidence that nobody is overlooking.

Furthermore, families who want complete freedom over their mealtimes will find this self-catered holiday option the perfect choice. Those who love cooking can buy local produce from grocers and markets to make delicious food, and families on a tight budget will find they can eat well without breaking their holiday budget, whilst at the same time the option of eating out at local restaurants will always be there.

Mykonos has so much to offer to the thousands of people that mingle together to celebrate the summer on the most famous island in Greece from it’s amazing restaurants, bars, clubs, beaches, shopping centres to all the engaging excursions you can choose to go on.

The beautiful town has an aura of romanticism and an exceeding level of luxury that can be seen whilst strolling through its vintage marble streets. The most luxurious villas in Mykonos that I have found whilst browsing on holiday destination websites would be the ones in the Blue Villas Collection. Their villas surpass any kind of expectation you would have for a villa and the level of luxury is unlike any other villas in Mykonos that I have seen.
