NBA Predictions October 19th

If the two games on opening night wasn’t enough, I’m sure the second one was good enough for you. My record last night was 1-2, which drops my overall mark to 2-3 making my winning percentage at 40%. The biggest performance of the night had to come from the Greek Freak. He lead Milwaukee to the win in Boston by scoring 37 points and pulling down 13 rebounds in the process. John Wall scored 28 points to lead the Washington Wizards to victory over the upstart Philadelphia 76ers. In the final game of my predictions, San Antonio outlasted the Timberwolves at home as LaMarcus Aldridge put up 25 points and 10 rebounds without Kawhi Leonard. For tonight, I’ll be predicting two games that will be featured on TNT.

NBA Predictions October 19thNBA Predictions October 19thWe kick things off in Oklahoma City as the Thunder hosts Carmelo’s former team in the New York Knicks. This will be the first game of the season for both teams as Paul George and Carmelo Anthony make their debuts for Oklahoma City. Some think if Oklahoma City stays healthy all year, they’re a team that could challenge the Warriors in the Western Conference. Can Westbrook, George and Anthony coexist to make that run? The new look New York Knicks have insisted that they’re not in a rebuilding year. They brought back Tim Hardaway Jr., who had a career year in Atlanta last year to go alongside of Kristaps Porzingis. Will the Knicks have enough firepower to contest against the Thunder? I’m riding with Oklahoma City, but it’ll be a closer game than expected.

Thunder Win 111-101

NBA Predictions October 19thNBA Predictions October 19thWe have the battle of Los Angeles as the Clippers take on the Lakers in their season openers. The Clippers have moved on from Chris Paul, but they were able to resign Blake Griffin to an extension. The new point guard in town for the Clippers is Patrick Beverly, who’s known for his defense. The Clippers still have an impressive roster with scorers like Lou Williams and Danilo Gallinari to combat for another huge loss in Jamal Crawford. As far as the Lakers are concerned, their future starts now and it centers around Lonzo Ball. For me, if given the chance I think Kyle Kuzma could be a breakout performer for the Lakers. The Lakers still need another veteran player, but they should be exciting this year, but Clippers win this one.

Clippers Win 119-114
