NBA Predictions October 20th

Last night I improved my overall record to 3-2 after winning both games I predicted. The new “Big 3” in Oklahoma City looked phenomenal in their debut against Carmelo’s old squad. Westbrook, George and Anthony all scored at least 20 points, plus Russell added 16 assists and 10 boards. In the nightcap, the Clippers took care of the young Lakers as Lonzo Ball finished with 3 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists in his debut. The biggest shocker for me was D’Andre Jordan going 4-4 from the free throw line as he finished with 14 points and 24 rebounds. My winning percentage jumps to 60% and tonight I’ll be predicting four games on this exciting Friday night. Let’s Get Started!!

NBA Predictions October 20thNBA Predictions October 20thWe start things off in Milwaukee as the Bucks have their home season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers. In the season opener in Boston, Giannis Antetokounmpo went off for 37 points and 13 boards. Many have him next in line and this could be an MVP season for the Greek Freak. If Milwaukee is going to take that next step, Giannis and the Bucks will have to take down the Cavs and Lebron James. Can the Bucks upend the Cavs in their home opener? Cleveland beat the Celtics in their home opener as Lebron almost notched a triple-double to start his 15th season. This is a tough one as I think Milwaukee will be tough as the season and get Jabari Parker back, but Cleveland wins this one. This game will be played on ESPN at 7 pm tonight.

Cavs Win 106-102

NBA Predictions October 20thNBA Predictions October 20thWe have the Detroit Pistons heading to Washington to face the Wizards. Detroit won their opener against Charlotte as I’m expecting big things from this team. The addition of Avery Bradley could be good for this team as he adds toughness on the defensive end. Tobias Harris has got off to a good start and Reggie Jackson will have something to prove this year. If Andre Drummond can produce like he did a couple years ago, Detroit could be a sleeper team in the East. The Wizards was impressive in their opener against the 76ers as John Wall and Bradley Beal combined for 53 points. Marcin Gortat finished with a double-double and this Wizards team want to be mentioned with Cleveland and Boston. I’m going with Washington to win this game.

Wizards Win 108-101

NBA Predictions October 20thNBA Preditions October 20thWe have the nightcap on ESPN as the Golden State Warriors travel to New Orleans to face the Pelicans. Golden State dropped their opening game at home against Houston and they lost Draymond Green in the process. Many have tabbed Golden State as the team to beat in the league, but there will be plenty of teams that can compete with them. With Draymond being injured, will the Warriors have enough down low to stop Cousins and Anthony Davis? New Orleans dropped their first game also against the tough Memphis Grizzlies, Davis & Cousins will need more help from their supporting cast. They combined for 61 points and 28 rebounds in the lost and I think they’ll fall again.

Warriors Win 117-109

NBA Predictions October 20thNBA Predictions October 20thWe have the winless Boston Celtics traveling to Philadelphia to meet the 76ers. After losing their first two games, Boston looked defeat as they’re still trying to figure out how to move forward without Gordon Hayward. If Kyrie Irving wants to show the world he can lead a team, then this is the time for him to prove that point. Boston still have young guys who can step up like Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum, can they earn their first win of the season? Philadelphia lost their opening game on the road against the Wizards, but Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons looked great in the loss. Many believe they could make a deep run in the East if they all stay healthy, but I think Boston finds a way to win their first game.

Celtics Win 103-101
