Week 9 NFL Predictions

Welcome to Week 9 of the NFL season and officially the start of the 2nd half of the season. My record last week was 5-0, which improved my record to 33-26 and increased my winning percentage from 51.9 to 55.9%. The most impressive performance last week had to be Deshaun Watson putting up over 400 yards against the tough Seahawks defense. Of course, this week is the trade deadline and I’m sure quite a few teams will be active. Jimmy Garoppolo was finally traded by New England as he was sent to the San Francisco 49ers. Duane Brown, the all-pro LT from Houston was sent to Seattle to help that struggling offensive line. This wee k I’ll be predicting another five games with the hopes of continuing my winning streak. Let’s Get Started!!!

Week 9 NFL PredictionsWeek 9 NFL PredictionsThis is the Thursday night game as the New York Jets hosts the Buffalo Bills in a key AFC East match-up. Buffalo is currently a half game behind the New England Patriots for the division lead. They are enjoying a 2-game winning streak after many thought this season would be a disaster. All of this is with a terrible offense, but their defense is very stingy and hungry. They’re giving up over 16 points a game, which is 3rd in the league. Can they continue this success against the Jets? New York is in the midst of a 3-game losing streak which started with their controversial lost to New England. I’ve been impressed with the Jets, but can they end their losing streak? I’m rolling with the Jets to upset the Bills and end their losing streak.

New York Win 24-21

Week 9 NFL PredictionsWeek 9 NFL PredictionsWe head to Tennessee as the Titans host the Baltimore Ravens. The big question for the Ravens is the health of Joe Flacco and if he’ll be able to play after his concussion last week. Baltimore blew out the Dolphins 40-0 last week ending a skid of four losses in five games. If Joe Flacco can’t go, the Ravens will have to turn to Ryan Mallet on the road in Tennessee. Can the Ravens head into their bye week with a two-game winning streak? Tennessee is coming off their bye week and they’re on a two-game winning streak. Those victories came against the Colts & Browns, so we really can’t count those wins. They’re currently tied with the Jaguars for the division lead and I think they’ll leave with the win.

Tennessee Win 30-20

Week 9 NFL PredictionsWeek 9 NFL PredictionsWe head to the south for a NFC South match-up as Atlanta travels to Carolina to face the Panthers. The Falcons finally ended their three-game losing streak last week in New York against the Jets. Atlanta is currently tied with Carolina in the lost column for 2nd place. The Falcons are hoping to recapture the same magic from a year ago with the hopes of making another Super Bowl run. Can the Falcons make it two games in a row? Carolina just ended their own losing streak against Tampa Bay last week as their roller coaster season continues. They traded one of their top receivers in Kelvin Benjamin to Buffalo right before the trade deadline. Who will walk away with the key victory? I’m going with the Falcons to somehow find a way to win this one.

Atlanta Win 24-23

Week 9 NFL PredictionsWeek 9 NFL PredictionsWe have the Kansas City Chiefs heading to Dallas to battle the Cowboys. The Chiefs ended their two-game losing streak on Monday with a win over their rival, Denver Broncos. While many people talk about the Kansas City offenses, their defense has stepped up. When Eric Berry went down for the year, many thought the Chiefs season wouldn’t go as great as it has so far. Can they head into Dallas and defeat the streaking Cowboys in a key match-up? The big news coming out of Dallas is the suspension of Ezekiel Elliott being upheld as he started to look like the same back from a year ago. With Elliott out for the foreseeable future, can the Cowboys continue their winning ways? I’m going with the Chiefs to win this one in a close game.

Kansas City Win 30-28

Week 9 NFL PredictionsWeek 9 NFL PredictionsThis is the Sunday night game as the Oakland Raiders travel to Miami to face the Dolphins. Oakland comes into this game dropping five out of their last six games after winning the first two of the year. They return Marshawn Lynch who returns from his one-game suspension. Oakland need to have a better 2nd half of the season as many had them representing the AFC in the Super Bowl. Can the Raiders flip the switch and win this game on the road? It has been rumored that Miami was looking to trade star WR Jarvis Landry after they shipped Jay Ajayi to Philadelphia before the trade deadline. Will they have Jay Cutler for this game? Either way, I’m picking the Raiders to come away with the much-needed win.

Oakland Win 23-21

Week 9 NFL PredictionsWeek 9 NFL PredictionsThis is our Monday Night game as this is a battle of NFC North rivals. The Detroit Lions head to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers. Detroit comes into Green Bay riding a three-game losing streak and they need this game as they’re 2-games behind Minnesota in the loss column. If Detroit is going to turn things around, they need to play better defense as they have the 25th ranked scoring defense in the league. Will the Lions defense step up against Hundley and the Packers? Green Bay is also on a losing streak themselves as they have lost their last two games. If they expect to win this game, they’ll need more than 87 yards passing from Hundley. I’m getting the feeling that Hundley will step up and lead the Packers to the win on Monday.

Green Bay Win 28-24
