December 28th College Football Bowls Predictions

This is the first prediction for college football from me since the Conference Championships. My record was 6-0, which means I’m on a 11-game winning streak and my record shot up to 49-17. My overall winning percentage went from 71.7 to 74.2%. For the bowl season, I’ll be predicting what I perceive as the top games throughout the bowl season. For me, some of the most hyped ones begin on December 28th with a trio of games that features ranked teams. Let’s go ahead and get started with the games.

December 28th College Football Bowl PredictionsDecember 28th College Football Bowl PredictionsWe head to Orlando as the 22nd Virginia Tech Hokies take on the 19th ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys. This is the Camping World Bowl between two teams that certainly had higher expectations. With Virginia Tech, they’re still a young team, so next year should be much better. They finished the year with their final two games after dropping the previous two. In those games, they gave up a total of 14 points, but they’ll have a much tougher challenge with the Cowboys explosive offense. Oklahoma State was ranked in the top-10 throughout the year, but losses in two of their final four games dropped them. The Cowboys come into the game with the best passing offense in the nation and third in scoring. On the other hand, they allow 30 points a game so this will be a battle of the Cowboys offense against the stout Hokies defense. In the end, I’m picking the Cowboys to win as Mason Rudolph cap off a great season.

Oklahoma State Win 41-31

December 28th College Football Bowl PredictionsDecember 28th College Football Bowl PredictionsWe head to the state of Texas for the Valero Alamo Bowl. The 13th ranked Stanford Cardinal will face the 15th ranked TCU Horned Frogs in San Antonio. The big question for the Cardinal will be the health of Heisman finalist Bryce Love as he’s dealt with an ankle injury for most of the year. Love is only 27 yards away from cracking the 2,000-yard mark for the season. Stanford barely fell to the Trojans in the Pac-12 championship game and they would like to end their year with 10 wins. TCU made it to their championship game, but was blown out by the Sooners for the second time in a month. The Horned Frogs will need to rely on their tough defense to stop Bryce Love, but the Cardinal have a nice defense of their own. This will not a beat shootout as I’m predicting one of the lower scores this bowl season and I have Stanford winning.

Stanford Win 27-24

December 28th College Football Bowl PredictionsDecember 28th College Football Bowl PredictionsThe final match-up of the day will take place in San Diego. The 18th ranked Washington State Cougars will meet the 16th ranked Michigan State Spartans. This is the San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl and it’s our night cap. Luke Falk is looking to cap his tremendous career in Washington State with a win and hoping to add to his 119 TDs he’s thrown in his career. In his last game, he had one of his worse performances as he tossed 3 INTs against Washington. Michigan State is looking to cap off a surprising season with its 10th win over the Cougars. The Spartans defense has really shined this year as they only allowed a little over 20 points a game. This will be a tough ask for the Spartans, but I don’t think their defense will be enough to slow down Luke Falk and the Cougar offense.

Washington State Win 35-24
