Daddy’s Hangout 2018 Final Four Preview

All I can say is this has been one of the more memorable March Madness tournaments in recent memory. After a Sweet 16 that continued the madness, we have a Final Four that no one predicted. On one side, you have two teams that many picked to play each other. The Villanova Wildcats will battle the Kansas Jayhawks to see who advances to play in the championship game on Monday. The Wildcats and Jayhawks were top seeds in their regions and have been impressive with so many upsets happening. On the other side, we have the Michigan Wolverines taking on the Cinderella, Loyola-Chicago Ramblers. Michigan took out Florida State and Texas A&M to reach the Final Four. Loyola-Chicago took out Nevada and Kansas State to reach the Final Four. Loyola-Chicago have become the darlings of the country and Sister Jean has developed quite the cult following.

The first will feature the pair of teams that didn’t have a chance to many. With Michigan, they have the longest win streak heading into the Final Four. The Wolverines barreled through the Big 10 tournament and continued their run throughout the tournament. Michigan State, Purdue or perhaps Ohio State were thought to be the teams with a better chance from the conference. With one game away from reaching the title game for the first time since 2013, can they end Cinderella’s run? Loyola-Chicago looked great against Kansas State and they’re one game away from reaching the title game for the first since the historic 1963 run. Stephen A. Smith isn’t a fan of Cinderella, but I am, and it proves anyone can win when it comes to the tournament. I’d love to see Loyola-Chicago advance to the title game against one of the power team I’m thinking Michigan wins.

Michigan Win

Now it’s time for a battle of two of the best teams throughout the season. The Villanova Wildcats will battle the Kansas Jayhawks for the chance to advance to the title game on Monday. Villanova bounced a tough West Virginia team by 12 points to advance to the Elite 8. The Wildcats defeated Texas Tech to reach the Final Four by 12 points also. Villanova has been one of the more impressive teams throughout the tournament beating all teams by double-digits. Kansas has won their last three games by 4 points to get to this point. In a classic game, they beat the Duke Blue Devils, one of the favorites to win it all. Kansas has everything you need in a championship team from Senior leadership to inside-outside play. Can this Jayhawks team finally win a championship for Coach Bill Self? I’m going with Villanova to win this game.
