The Battery Atlanta has a month full of activities in December, with FREE Santa visits at the SunTrust on Up Experience, New Year’s Eve festivities as well as a new nightly Holiday Light Show.

“The holidays are in full swing at The Battery Atlanta,” said Jeremy Strife, senior vice president and general manager of The Battery Atlanta. “From the new Holiday Light Show to New Year’s Eve festivities, we have something for the whole family this December.”

Santa has arrived at the SunTrust onUp Experience, with visits Thursdays through Sundays and Christmas Eve. All Santa visits are free and include digital and printed photos. Santa has some special visits planned, including Santa Paws Night for four-legged family members on December 16.

The Holiday Light Show presented by Georgia Lottery is a new addition this season. From December 1 through Christmas Day, guests will experience an immersive sound and light display throughout the Plaza each evening every hour from 6-9 p.m. With a variety of soundtracks, each show will vary for guests of The Battery Atlanta.

The annual Atlanta Santa Crawl is returning to The Battery Atlanta for a second-straight year. This annual holiday tradition is fun for the whole family and participants are encouraged to wear holiday themed attire. The US Marines will be onsite outside of Sports and Social collecting donations for Toys for Tots Drive. On December 15, the Jingle Bell Run, the longest-running, holiday-themed 5K race series, will be at The Battery Atlanta, with 100% of the registration fees and fundraising efforts benefiting the Arthritis Foundation. Registration is available at http://bit.ly/2018JingleBellRun.

The Battery Atlanta will send 2018 out in style with the second annual New Year’s Eve Bash presented by Xfinity, featuring an early countdown geared towards families and a late-night show leading into midnight. Braves in-game host Mark Owens will emcee the entire evening of programming. The early innings, for those wishing to ring in the New Year early, will start at 6 p.m. in the Plaza. The Heavy Hitters and BLOOPER will be on hand as well as performances by Fear No Ice, a high-energy chainsaw ice sculpture artist, and entertainer James Maltman till the inflatable baseball drops at 8 p.m. The late innings festivities start at 9 p.m., with the 12South Band providing the entertainment from the Georgia Power Pavilion Stage. The midnight countdown will include pyrotechnics and 2019 will begin with a confetti and aerial fireworks display.

The Omni Hotel at The Battery Atlanta is also offering a special VIP experience for New Year’s Eve. Guests will enjoy music by Atlanta’s Contagious Band, a live DJ, heavy hors d’oeuvres and a reception-style buffet, plus beer, wine, a signature cocktail and party favors in the Battery Ballroom. At midnight, guests will watch the firework display from the rooftop pool. Tickets are available now for $150 each and can be purchased at http://bit.ly/OmniNYE.

Free parking is available in the Red, Green and Purple Decks for four hours on non-event days at The Coca-Cola Roxy.
