5 Reasons Why I’m Considering Getting a Motorcycle

Recently, a few of my co-workers have invested in motorcycles and they’re really nice. After checking them out, I’ve talked to my wife about wanting to get one for myself. Of course, she wants me to make sure this is something I want. Honestly, I’ve been known to make spontaneous decisions and she thinks this is one of them. I’m sure there’s a lot of guys that’s in my current situation and trying to convince their significant others also. Below are some reasons why getting a motorcycle is well worth it.

No Texting and Driving

We all have answered the phone or texted while driving. Of course, this is a safety issue and is against the law in some states like Georgia. If you’re driving a motorcycle, there’s no way you’ll be able to text and drive.

Less Money on Fuel

Nowadays, they’re making cars more fuel efficient, but it still doesn’t top motorcycles. With me, I’m all about saving money any way I can, and this is one of them. My wife has called me cheap at times, but I’m all about trying to save money. I’ve calculated that I’d save around $100 a month driving back and forth to work with a motorcycle. Motorcycles can get up to 60 miles a gallon, which is much better than my car now.

Shop for Motorcycle Gear

There’s a couple of bikes I’ve got my eyes on and they both are made by Suzuki. Those are some of the best looking bikes you’ll find, and I’d love to have a few badass helmets to go with them. Recently, I found a website called Bike Bandit and they carry discount helmets for motorcycles and Suzuki aftermarket parts if I needed them. Not only do they carry those accessories, but they also have gloves, jackets and OEM bike parts also.

Less Expensive than Cars

The prices for vehicles these days are atrocious. It’s crazy to think you can pay anywhere between 400 to 700 dollars a month on a car is crazy. For many cars, you may be paying more which is a problem you won’t have when you buy a motorcycle. Like I’ve mentioned before, you will be paying a lot less for gas and that’s another way to save money in the long run.

Enjoy the Beautiful Scenery

Since I live pretty close to the mountains, we get to see a lot of beautiful scenery. It’s a nice sight to see when you’re in the car, but just imagine your view on a motorcycle. On the weekends, it would be cool to just ride out and enjoy nature on your bike. A few of my co-workers tell me all the time how relaxing it is and the view being much different on a motorcycle.
