The Houston Rockets take Game 3 from Warriors 126-121 in overtime. Game 4 will be Monday night as the Rockets try to even the series. James Harden lead the Rockets with 41 points which included a few clutch buckets at the end. Eric Gordon scored 30 points as he went 7-for-14 from 3-point land to come up huge. P.J. Tucker came up big on the defensive end, plus he pulled down 12 boards in the win. Clint Capela had his best game of the series with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Capela biggest play came when blocked the dunk attempt by Iguodala with two hands. With that play, Houston was able to gain momentum. Chris Paul only took 8 shots while finishing with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. Iman Shumpert provided 10 points off the bench and that included three 3-pointers.
A night after the 4OT game, we had another playoff game go into OT. With the Warriors, they had several chances to leave this game up 3-0. First off, Kevin Durant is the best player on the planet, and he gets it done on both ends. Durant finished with 46 points and 6 assists. Steph Curry and Klay Thompson combined for 33 points. They combined to go 13-for-39 from the field and shot a little under 27% from 3-point land. Draymond Green continues to play great as he finished with another triple-double. Green finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Once again, Andre Iguodala started and finished the game with 16 points.
Iguodala was great on defense and hit some bug shots in critical moments. Steph Curry continues to struggle in the playoffs. It was more evident when he missed a breakaway dunk that would’ve cut the lead to three with a little time left in the game. I’ve mentioned before that the lack of a bench can and will hurt the Warriors. The bench scored a total of seven points. Game 4 will be Monday night in Houston.
