Nas have been in the game for over 25 years. Throughout his historic career, Nas have dropped a countless number of classics. One of his best projects came out of nowhere. In September of 2002, Nas surprised everyone with his Lost Tapes project. During this time, Nas was killing everything as this came after his classic Stillmatic album. My Throwback Thursday track is from the Lost Tapes and it’s Doo Rags. Doo Rags is one of many dope tracks off the album. The Lost Tapes were unreleased tracks from the I Am and Stillmatic sessions. Throughout the years, we have wanted Nas to release another Los Tapes. If you’re someone that was online getting music, there have been an unofficial Lost Tapes 2.
All hip hop fans can now rejoice because The Lost Tapes 2 is coming out. Nas announced The Lost Tapes 2 will drop on July 19th via his Mass Appeal and Def Jam Recordings. The Lost Tapes 2 will be unreleased recordings from his last four albums. Those albums are Hip Hop is Dead, Untitled, Life is Good and Nasir.
