Who You Got Winning the NBA Eastern Conference Next Season?

First off, congratulations to the Toronto Raptors on winning the 2019 NBA Championship. If you’re in the city of Toronto, would you head to Vipcasino.ca and bet on the Raptors? With Kawhi Leonard leaving for the Clippers, they won’t be a favorite. The Toronto Raptors will still have a wonderful team if they choose not to trade away anyone and try to rebuild. The Milwaukee Bucks had the best record in the NBA last season, can they repeat that success this upcoming season? With all the talk about the Western Conference, let’s take a look at the Eastern Conference. Who will be the top-6 or 7 teams and get more betting tips on Gamblers Lounge?

Philadelphia 76ers

The 76ers were bounce from the East Semifinals on the Kawhi Leonard buzzer beater. Philadelphia have been busy this offseason as they spent almost a half billion dollars in free agency. They lost key players like J.J. Reddick and Jimmy Butler; they still made an impact. They were able to resign Tobias Harris to a huge contract. If that wasn’t enough, they were able to sign Al Horford to a 4-year, $109 million dollar contract. Ben Simmons also got paid as he signs a max deal a couple weeks ago. If Joell Embiid can stay healthy, he could potentially be an MVP candidate next season. The 76ers will need to add more shooting, but their frontcourt is amazing. Having two guys that can defend and stretch the floor as big men, Embiid and Horford are intriguing.

Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks will have the reigning league MVP in Giannis Antetokounmpo. As mentioned above, the Bucks had the best record in the league last season. The Bucks suffered a major loss with Malcolm Brogden signed with the Indiana Pacers. They also loss Nikola Mirotic, who decided to return to Europe to play basketball. Milwaukee were able to keep Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez and George Hill, who was instrumental in the teams success last year. Can the Bucks have the same success from a year ago? Will Giannis have another MVP type season?

Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics lost two of their first best through free agency in Kyrie Irving and Al Horford. The Celtics signed Kemba Walker and Enes Kanter in free agency. Kemba Walker was a great signing as he’s one of the more underrated players in the league. Enes Kanter is a great offensive player, but he’s defense has always been his weakness. Boston still have Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Gordon Heyward. If the Tatum and Brown can play like they did a couple years ago, they could be sleepers. With this being the second year Heyward will be back from injury, could he return to his All-Star form? Can the Celtics surprise people and win the Eastern Conference?

Brooklyn Nets

Brooklyn made major headlines when they signed Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and D’Andre Jordan. Kevin Durant will likely miss the entire 2019-2020 season with his torn Achilles. The Nets overachieved last season and they have most of their squad coming back. With the addition of Jordan and Irving next season, this team could be a top-3 team in the East. With Allen and Jordan manning the middle, they could be one of the better defensive teams in the East. They loss D’Angelo Russell to free agency and that could affect team chemistry. Brooklyn will have a slew of young guys on their roster who will need to step up.

Toronto Raptors

The defending champions will be without their star and NBA Finals MVP, Kawhi Leonard. As we all know, Leonard chose to take his talents to Los Angeles and join the Clippers. Another big loss for Toronto was Danny Green as he signed with the Lakers. Many people forget that Leonard missed 22 games last season and the Raptors were still good. If Pascal Siakim continues to improve, this Raptors team could start to build around him. Marc Gasol decided to accept his player option to remain with the team. Toronto still have a group of young players and could win at least 48 win this season.

Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers are my fifth team in the Eastern Conference. Victor Oladipo could miss the first couple of months of the season. The Pacers will be without Bojan Bogdanovic and Thaddeus Young this season. The Pacers will struggle at the start of the season with their young players to go along with free agent acquisition of Malcolm Brogdon.  Jeremy Lamb, T.J. Warren, Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner with Brogden could be a good thing. When Oladipo returns from injury and he’s back at an All-Star level, this could be a sleeper team.

Orlando Magic

Orlando made a huge step for their franchise by making the playoffs last season. The Magic played the Raptors tough in the first round of the playoffs. This team is still young and kept the core of their team together. They were able to keep Nikola Vucevic by signing him to an extension and their young guys will need to step up. Aaron Gordon, Mo Bamba and Jonathon Isaac will need to make that next step if this team will go further. Markelle Fultz will be the Wild Card and if can be the talent that made him a top pick, this team could be scary.
