30 years ago today, EPMD released their 2nd album, Unfinished Business. Unfinished Business was the follow-up to their classic, Strictly Business that dropped the year before. Strictly Business was one of the many gems that was released in 1988. With Unfinished Business, EPMD returned with their same formula. EPMD is all about great production and dope rhymes. Unfinished Business continued where their debut left off. This album only released one single and it’s my featured Throwback Thursday track. So Wat Cha Sayin’ is another classic from EPMD. The one thing that always stand out on their tracks has always been the production. Erick Sermon is one of the best producers ever. Parrish Smith is ill on the mic and Sermon holds his own also. With this being the 30th Anniversary of EPMD’s Unfinished Business, check out the album below.
As far as So Wat Cha Sayin, you can check out the video above. When it comes to EPMD and especially this video, it’s straight lyrics. Erick and Parrish delivered on this and plus this beat have been heard several times throughout the years. What are your thoughts about them? How about the Throwback Thursday track? What about their Unfinished Business joint? Leave some feedback below about the featured track, the Unfinished Business album or EPMD.
