If you’re a fan of playoff football, Sunday night was the game for you. The New Orleans Saints beat the previously undefeated Cowboys 12-10. This was an upset in my eyes because I had the Cowboys winning in my Week 4 predictions. This felt like a playoff game and these two teams could meet again in those circumstances. Both defenses came to play in this hard hitting affair. For Dallas, Dak Prescott finished with only 223 yards passing and the one pick on the final play. Ezekiel Elliott only had 35 yards rushing on 18 carries plus a TD. The Cowboys will look to rebound at home as they welcome the Green Bay Packers. With the Packers giving up a lot of yards on the ground to Philadelphia, Elliott should rebound nicely.
Teddy Bridgewater was under pressure all game from the Cowboys defense. Bridgewater finished with 193 passing yards and he also threw one interception. Alvin Kamara finished with 89 total yards with 69 coming on the ground. Michael Thomas finished with nine catches for 95 yards. New Orleans failed you scored a touchdown as their points came off of 4 field goals by Will Lutz. All of this was done as Drew Brees looked on as he’s still out with a thumb injury. New Orleans will stay home and host the red hot Tampa Buccaneers. Tampa Bay just put up 55 points on the road in Los Angeles as they beat the Rams. The Bucs would also be 3-1 if their kicker didn’t miss that field goal that would’ve won the game a couple weeks ago.
