The WWE is coming off a very successful Survivor Series weekend. We all are gearing up for the Thanksgiving holiday and some Black Friday shopping. Being a lifelong wrestling fan, the name Starrcade brings back many memories. When you hear the name Starrcade you think about some of the most legendary performers. About Starrcade
Starrcade was a legendary event WCW/NWA started back in the 80s. Starrcade was like WCWs WrestleMania and some of wrestling’s biggest moments took place at the event. When WWE bought out WCW, Starrcade was included in the purchase. The late, great Dusty Rhodes creates the event that debuted back in 1983. When Starrcade comes to mind, many people think about Ric Flair winning the title from Harley Race the inaugural year. In 1989, Sting battled Ric Flair in Atlanta which was one of their many legendary encounters. We could fast forward to 1997, when Sting finally got his hands on “Hollywood” Hogan to capture the championship. This event has produced a lot of moments over the years and this will be no different.
This Year’s Starrcade
Starrcade will feature stars from Raw and Smackdown. The headliner will feature old friends facing off against each other. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt defends his Universal title against Braun Strowman in a cage. Roman Reigns will take on King Corbin as these two have been feuding for a while now. Gainesville, Georgia’s own A.J. Styles will be in the building as he takes on Kevin Owens. The New Day defend their SmackDown tag titles against the former champs, The Revival. Some of your favorite superstars will be there in action also. Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Seth Rollins and many more will be there live. Make sure you purchase your tickets and enjoy the show.
