Daddy’s Hangout 2020 Wild Card Predictions

Daddy’s Hangout 2020 Wild Card Predictions

After another great regular season, it’s playoffs time. The final weekend of football decided playoff spots and positioning. Week 17 was almost perfect with my record being 9-1. The only game that many people didn’t see coming was the Dolphins beating the Patriots in a huge upset. With that loss, New England dropped to the third spot while Kansas City moved to second and secured a 1st round bye. My overall mark going into the playoffs is 83-44, which is great seeing how terrible things had gotten earlier on. My winning percentage jumped from 63.3 to 65.5%. We’re kicking things off with the four Wild Card games. Who will advance to the Divisional Round next weekend?

Daddy’s Hangout 2020 Wild Card PredictionsDaddy’s Hangout 2020 Wild Card PredictionsWe start the weekend off with the Buffalo Bills traveling to Houston to face the Texans. The Bills surprised a lot of people this year especially that defense. Josh Allen continued to improve his game and became a threat with his legs. The one issue that Allen have is his inconsistency when it comes to his arm. Despite having one of the strongest arms in the league, he’s very inaccurate with the long ball. Does Buffalo have enough to pull off the upset in Houston? Once again, the Texans are back in the playoffs. They will have an emotional boost with the return of J.J. Watt for this game. A couple of months he tore his pectoral muscle and was ruled out for the season. Deshaun Watson should have all of his weapons at receiver healthy also.

With that stout defense of the Bills, they’ll need all the weapons they can get. Houston should have an emotional at the start, but don’t be surprised if the Bills force a couple turnovers. In the end, Watson brings Houston back and they hit a game winning field goal.

Houston Win 20-17

Daddy’s Hangout 2020 Wild Card PredictionsDaddy’s Hangout 2020 Wild Card PredictionsWe head to the other AFC matchup this weekend. The Tennessee Titans travel to Gillette Stadium to battle the New England Patriots. Tennessee nabbed that final spot in their last game against Houston. Derrick Henry rushed for over 200 yards on his way to the rushing title. If Tennessee will have any chance, Henry will need to have a good running game. The Titans defense will need to apply pressure to Brady and the struggling Patriots offense. If there’s a team that could go to New England and win, it’s Tennessee. The loss against Miami could be a blessing in disguise as this team will be more focused against Tennessee. I’m seeing the Patriots scoring on their first couple possessions. Afterwards, the defenses could take charge on both sides. Tennessee could score late or possibly tie it.

In the end, I’m seeing Brady leading New England on a game winning drive to advance.

New England Win 24-21

Daddy’s Hangout 2020 Wild Card PredictionsDaddy’s Hangout 2020 Wild Card PredictionsWe head to the NFC for their Wild Card matchups. We have the Minnesota Vikings heading to the Big Easy to face the New Orleans Saints. Minnesota is one of those teams that’s talented enough to beat anyone. Unfortunately, Kirk Cousins hasn’t been able to beat good teams when it means the most. This is a rematch of the Minneapolis Miracle game from about three years ago. Case Keenum was the quarterback for the Vikings then, not Kirk Cousins. For the Vikings, if Dalvin Cook is healthy, they’ll have a shot against the Saints. Could they pull off the upset? Two years ago, New Orleans playoff chances came to a halt thanks to the Minnesota Miracle in the Divisional Round. Last year, the no call heard around the world in the NFC Championship game derailed their Super Bowl dreams. This year, they have another chance of reaching the Super Bowl.

The Saints have weapons everywhere on offense, which includes record setting Michael Thomas. The defense has fell off a lot and could be facing trouble with the Vikings offense. In the end, Drew Brees is to be trusted more than Cousins.

New Orleans Win 35-24

Daddy’s Hangout 2020 Wild Card PredictionsDaddy’s Hangout 2020 Wild Card PredictionsWe have the final game of the 2020 Wild Card weekend. The Seattle Seahawks travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles. The Seahawks beat the Eagles earlier this season on the road. As a matter of fact, Russell Wilson is 4-0 in his career against the Eagles. Seattle has a lot of injuries coming into this matchup against Philadelphia. Mychal Kendricks will be a huge loss on defense. All three of their starting running backs and the left tackle will also miss this game. Can Russell Wilson pull some magic tricks against the Eagles? When it comes to injuries, no team has dealt with more than the Eagles. Philadelphia is playing several guys from their practice squad during this 4-game winning streak.

They’re hoping to get Lane Johnson back with Brandon Brooks going down. Miles Sanders is hoping to be available also. Carson Wentz hasn’t won a playoff game or beaten Seattle. I’m thinking both of those end Sunday night.

Philadelphia Win 30-20
