Notorious Big Juicy for Throwback Thursday

Notorious Big Juicy for Throwback Thursday

It was just announced that the Notorious Big will be inducted into the 2020 Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame. This is very deserving as the Notorious Big was one of the greatest rappers of all-time. It’s hard to believe that he’s been gone for almost 23 years. Ready to Die was his first album and it was a certified classic that’s still talked about till this day. A couple weeks after passing, his Life After Death album dropped and it was another classic. The Notorious Big is one of my favorite rappers ever and he’s been included on many personal mixes. Whether it’s my personal Greatest Hits or featured on my 1994 Mix. The featured track is off his Ready to Die album and it was his debut single. Juicy has been regarded as one of the best hip hop songs ever and you’ll never hear an argument from me.

As mentioned before, my Throwback Thursday track is Juicy from the Notorious Big from his debut album. Biggie brought a lot of swag to the mic while putting New York hip hop back on the map. The entire mid-90s era was incredibly dope all throughout hip hop. While the Notorious Big and 2Pac get a lot of attention and deservedly so, hip hop was golden then. The Notorious Big becomes the 7th hip hop act to be inducted into the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame. He joins 2Pac, N.W.A, Public Enemy, Beastie Boys, Run D.M.C. and Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. Congratulations to the Notorious Big on the well-deserved honor and peep Juicy up above. What do you think about Biggie getting the Hall of Fame nod? How about his Ready to Die album? What are your thoughts on Juicy? Leave some feedback below about the Notorious Big or Juicy.
