Once again, we have arrived at another Thursday which means it’s closer to the weekend. We already know it’s time for another Throwback Thursday. Ghetto Mafia, Monica, Chamillionaire, Mac Mall and Run D.M.C were some of the music that was played. Any of those artists would’ve been perfect, but we’re going in another direction for this one. On Spotify, one of the playlists you’ll find my Cash Money Records compilation. This playlist is from earlier Cash Money like the Big Tymers, Hot Boyz, Juvenile and B.G. For my featured track, we’re going with Lil Wayne and his Carter II album. Hustler Musik is the track and it was the second single from the double platinum selling Carter II. Lil Wayne recently released his 13th solo album, Funeral and has been in the game over 20 years.
Hustler Musik is one of my all-time favorite Lil Wayne tracks. If you follow today’s hip hop, you can see LIL Wayne’s influence everywhere. With his longevity and his great run during the mid-2000s, he’s looked at as one of the GOATs. The Carter II is probably my favorite Lil Wayne album and a straight up classic.
