We first signed up with Rakuten when they were called Ebates. In the past, we have searched online for special coupon codes and most didn’t work. The sign up is quick and easy, plus you will see most of your favorite retailers on there. You can get cash back from purchasing items from Amazon, Walmart, Travelocity and many others. You can purchase things for your home or something like Xbox One bundles for the kids. The only con is that you can’t cash out the funds when you want to. If you’ve earned more than $5, they’ll send a check every three months. For me, this is extra money coming in and this doesn’t bother me at all. Get a $10 bonus when you spend $25 within 90 days of opening your account.
My wife was always telling me to download the Ibotta app way before even doing it. Usually, I’m the one that does the grocery shopping because I know what I want, get it and leave. Walmart, Kroger, Sam’s Club and Publix are my usual destinations for groceries. You select the store you’re visiting and add items you’re going to pick up. When you get home, scan the receipt and watch the money roll into your account. You have opportunities to earn more money by adding any brand at times. While browsing the app, it seems like Ibotta is good for more than groceries. You can earn money while shopping online also. Once you reach $20, you can cash out via PayPal, Venmo or a gift card from one of your favorite retailers.
