Daddy’s Hangout 2020 Week 5 NFL Predictions

Welcome to the 2020 Week 5 NFL weekend as we head into the 2nd quarter of the season. The biggest issue the NFL is facing as is everyone else is the Covid-19 pandemic. The Titans organization had an outbreak which forced the game against the Steelers to be moved to October 25th. My record last week was 5-2, which raised my overall mark to 27-14. The winning percentage jumped up from 64.7 to 65.9%. The Indianapolis Colts used their stingy defense to defeat the Chicago Bears. Cleveland put up 49 points as they went to Dallas and defeated the Cowboys. On Monday night, we saw that the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City are two of the best teams in the league. This week, I’ll be predicting a total of six games which includes Thursday, Sunday and Monday night games.

Daddy’s Hangout 2020 Week 5 NFL PredictionsDaddy’s Hangout 2020 Week 5 NFL PredictionsWe kick things off with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers traveling to Soldier Field to face the Chicago Bears. This is an interesting matchup as these QBs have met before. Nick Foles was the QB for the Eagles when they beat Tom Brady and the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Brady has said that Super Bowl haunts him the most till this day. After dropping their season opener, the Bucs have reeled off three wins in a row. Tom Brady has looked great, but they lost O.J. Howard in the process for the season. With Chicago and Nick Foles, they lost their first game last week against the Colts. Both of these defenses have holes that both QBs can expose. Can the Bucs make it four in a row? Will the Bears rebound from their first loss? I’m going with the Bears to edge the Bucs. Chicago Win 29-27

Daddy’s Hangout 2020 Week 5 NFL PredictionsDaddy’s Hangout 2020 Week 5 NFL PredictionsWe have a battle between two undefeated teams in the AFC. The Buffalo Bills will travel to Tennessee to face the Titans. Buffalo enters the game with a 4-0 record and some have put Josh Allen into the MVP conversation. The addition of Stephon Diggs is paying huge dividends for the Bills organization. If the Bills are going to leave Tennessee with the win, they’ll need to run the ball better. Tennessee is coming off a week where the Covid affected the organization. With the extra week of rest, how will the Titans respond? Tennessee will need to rely heavily on Derrick Henry to keep the Bills offense off the field. These two teams could meet up against in January in the playoffs. This should be a good game and I’m thinking the Titans hand the Bills their first loss. Tennessee Win 27-20

Daddy’s Hangout 2020 Week 5 NFL PredictionsDaddy’s Hangout 2020 Week 5 NFL PredictionsWe take a trip to the AFC West for this divisional matchup. The Las Vegas Raiders head to Arrowhead to battle the division leading Kansas City Chiefs. The Raiders have lost two games in a row after winning their first pair of games. Derek Carr has aired out his frustrations saying he’s tired of losing. With all of that going on, the Raiders have to travel to play arguably the best team in football. Patrick Mahomes is on his way to another MVP-like season and the Chiefs defense seems to be getting better. The Chiefs could create some serious distance already with a win over Las Vegas. If the Raiders have any shot of winning, they must rely on Joshua Jacobs and the ground game. Unfortunately, the Chiefs will stop that and force the Raiders to throw. Kansas City Win 34-20

Daddy’s Hangout 2020 Week 5 NFL PredictionsDaddy’s Hangout 2020 Week 5 NFL PredictionsWe stay in the AFC for this battle between two 3-1 squads. The Indianapolis Colts will head to Cleveland to face the Browns. The Colts dropped their first game of the season and have went on a tear ever since. They gave up 27 points to the Jaguars in the opener, but have given up a total of 29 points. Indianapolis has the best defense in the league and Philip Rivers is playing some good ball. Cleveland also dropped the first game of the season against the Ravens. After being blown out by Baltimore, they have won 3 in a row and the offense has looked great. They will be without star running back, Nick Chubb for at least a month. Can Kareem Hunt help lead the rushing game in his absence? Cleveland won’t score at will against the Colts and I’m picking Indy. Indianapolis Win 26-17

Daddy’s Hangout 2020 Week 5 NFL PredictionsDaddy’s Hangout 2020 Week 5 NFL PredictionsWe have the Sunday night game as the Minnesota Vikings travel to Seattle to battle the Seahawks. Minnesota has been one of the more disappointing teams thus far. They finally won their first game last week against the Houston Texans. Kirk Cousins hasn’t looked like himself for some reason. The defense isn’t the same, but Dalvin Cook continues to prove why they gave him an extension. The Seattle Seahawks is looking like one of the best teams in the league. Russell Wilson is being mentioned in the conversation as potential league MVP. The defense has a lot of work to do as the offense is carrying this squad. Minnesota is in need of a victory because they don’t want to fall to 1-4. Despite not having the 12th man, it’s hard to win in Seattle and I think they’ll win. Seattle Win 34-24

Daddy’s Hangout 2020 Week 5 NFL PredictionsDaddy’s Hangout 2020 Week 5 NFL PredictionsWe have the final game of the week, which is the Monday Night game. The Los Angeles Chargers travel to New Orleans to face the Saints. Los Angeles has started the season 1-3, but the future is looking bright. Justin Herbert has looked great ever since stepping in for the injured Tyrod Taylor. Last week, Herbert went toe-to-toe with the great Tom Brady in a loss to Tampa Bay. The Chargers has been riddled with injuries on both sides of the ball. New Orleans picked up a much needed victory in Detroit last week. The Saints are hoping to get back star WR Michael Thomas in the near future. The key for the Saints has been their running game with Alvin Kamara and LaTavious Murray. If the Saints are going to win, they need to rely more on the run. New Orleans Win 33-24
