Workout Equipment to Use at Home While Still in Quarantine

The year 2020 is coming closer to being over, but a lot of us are still in quarantine in fear of Covid-19. We are still working remotely from home and trying to find ways to save money in the process. During this time, we have also tried to eat better and make sure our health is our top priority. Now that I’m no longer working night shift, I’ve gotten into a much better routine. My sleep pattern has improved; I’m consuming more water instead of drinks and just feeling better. Usually, I’m going to the gym around 6 in the morning, but this cold weather has stopped that. The cold weather makes it hard to wake up and drive 20 minutes and motivate myself to workout. Instead, I’ve invested in workout equipment to use at home while still in quarantine.

Resistance Bands

One thing I’m looking to do is tone my muscles. In the process, I’m trying to lose body fat with the hopes of those muscles return from 30 years ago. Honestly, I’m not looking to gain a lot of muscle just improve on my physique. There are many different exercises that you can do with the resistance bands. One site that’s great is called BP5 Method. The website is amazing as they will help with the resistance bars and bands method. Instead of going to the gym, the resistance bands are great especially in the comforts of your own home. You could also go to your local park with your resistance bands to use.

Treadmill

Another reason for going to the gym was to get in some much needed cardio. Recently, we purchased a treadmill and put in downstairs in my man cave. If the weather isn’t too cold I’ll go for a walk. With most mornings being on the chilly side, it feels great to just stay in the house and burn some calories.

Weights, Weight Bench and Dumb Bells

The resistance bands are the ones that get used the most, but it’s nice to have a set of dumb bells and a weight bench. Some mornings I’m really in the mode to toss some irons so I’ll go downstairs and lift some weights. There are other mornings I’ll settle for a little action with the dumb bells. Either way, I’m getting a nice little workout in even if its only 10 to 15 minutes.
