First of all, I’m hoping you had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. For those holidays there were no Throwback Thursday music posted. Since then, I’ve listened to a lot of music during that off time. Hip Hop is Dead from Nas and Scarface’s My Homies double album. Beanie Sigel’s The Reason and the new joint from Too Short and E-40. We are going with another album that was on my playlist during this break. The Black Album from Jay-Z was his 8th project and was supposed to be his final one. The Black Album sold about 4 million records and would’ve been a perfect way for Jay to retire. A little over two years later, Jay Z returned and dropped the Kingdom Come joint. The featured Throwback Thursday track from the album is 99 Problems.
99 Problems is one of Jay’s dopest tracks and sold another two million singles. The Black Album is one of Jay-Z’s best albums and is a classic in my opinion. The video for 99 Problems is above and the track listing and stream links below.
