For all my hip hop heads and fellow 2Pac fans, today marks 23 years that 2Pac passed away. Today also marks the 25th anniversary of the release of Ready to Die from Notorious Big. Many of you know that 2Pac is my idol, favorite rapper and artist ever. With this being the anniversary of Pac’s passing, it’s time to bring back Mixtape Friday. This will be a 2-part Mixtape Friday with the other being released next Friday. For this 2Pac Greatest Hits Volume 1, this will contain 74 tracks. These tracks are from his albums and the songs he was a guest appearance on. Check out the track listing below…

    Daddy’s Hangout Presents 2Pac B-Day Mix Vol. 8

First off, Happy Birthday to the late, great Tupac Shakur. 2Pac would’ve been 48-years-old today and could you imagine Pac being 48? If you know me personally or online, you know that 2Pac is forever my personal Greatest Of All Time. It’s crazy that he’s been gone almost 23 years and he’s just as influential in a lot of today’s artists. As far as my 2Pac B-Day Mixes, this is Volume 8 and most likely the final one. For all my fellow Pac fans, you can peep the previous seven. For his 48th birthday, I’ll be putting together another 21 joints from 2Pac. These tracks are from his albums, features…

    Daddy’s Hangout Presents 2Pac B-Day Mix Volume 7

It’s hard to believe that 2Pac would be turning 47-years-old today if he were alive. It’s even crazier that he’s been gone almost 22 years now. Despite being gone for that long, he still is very influential in today’s hip hop culture. Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole are my two favorite artists of today and they’ve always called themselves Makaveli Trained Soldiers. Kanye West has continued to praise 2Pac any chance he gets and talk about how much Pac spoke his mind. For the past six years, I’ve celebrated 2Pac’s birthday by putting together a B-Day Mix. The compilations consist of his greatest hits, remixes or tracks that may have…

    Happy Birthday 2Pac: 2Pac B-Day Mix Vol. 6

Today would have marked the 46th birthday of the late, great 2Pac. Not only we’re celebrating his birthday, but his biopic, All Eyez On Me is released nationwide today. If you follow me on Twitter, Instagram or just know me personally then you know he’s my favorite of all-time. It’s hard to believe that he’s been gone for almost 21 years and still as influential to the hip hop community. Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole, my two favorite current artists are heavily influenced by Pac. For the 6th year, I’ll be putting together a 2Pac B-Day Mix and this is Volume 6. Last year, I was thinking this would be…

    Happy Birthday 2Pac: 2Pac B-Day Mix Vol. 5

June the 16th, 1971 mama gave birth to hell raising, heavenly son. Today would have been the 45th birthday of the late, great Tupac Shakur, whom I’ve always said he’s my favorite artists of all-time. You know it’s pretty crazy to think he’s been gone almost 20 years, but with artists like Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole, his legacy still carries on. For the past few years I’ve put together birthday tributes and this will be the 5th year of me doing this. When you get time, go back and download 2Pac B-Day Mix Volume 1, Volume 2, Volume 3, and Volume 4 and give me some feedback on them.…

2Pac Birthday Mix IV- Happy Birthday 2Pac

Today would mark the 44th birthday of the late, great 2Pac. could you imagine how 2Pac would be if he lived to be 44 years old? If you don’t know his story by now, he was tragically gunned down in Las Vegas on September 7th after the Mike Tyson fight and died 6 days later on September 13th. It’s hard to believe it has almost been 19 years since he’s passed because his influence is very much still relevant in the rap game with the younger generation with guys like Kendrick Lamar and J.Cole calling themselves Makaveli trained soldiers and both calling 2Pac their biggest influence. This is the 4th…

2Pac Birthday Mix III: Happy Birthday 2Pac

Today would mark the 43th birthday of the late, great Tupac Shakur aka Makaveli. Man this is hard to believe that it’s been almost 18 years since he died and it seems like yesterday when I was following his every move and he meant the world to me. This is the 3rd year I’m doing the Birthday Mix and if you would like to download those other 2 compilations you can download Volume 1 and Volume 2. There’s nothing I can really say that I haven’t said before on Volume 1 or 2 that I can say now but Happy Birthday Pac and Rest In Peace. You’re still my favorite…

2Pac Ghetto Gospel for Throwback Thursday

It’s hard to believe that it has been over 27 years since Pac passed away. Even though he’s been gone for so long Pac is still relevant today. There hasn’t been a new Pac album in over 17 years, but he’s still mentioned as one of the best. Last year, he was named by Billboard as a top 5 rapper of all time. Two of the biggest rappers in the world have named him their biggest influence. Those rappers are Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole and unfortunately, they are beefing with each other. One of his albums was on my playlist this week and many have talked about it till…

Natural Born Killaz by Dr. Dre & Ice Cube for Throwback Thursday

Let’s go back to my favorite time of hip hop and that’s the 90s. For this one, we will adventure over to Death Row Records. As many of you know, Death Row Records is my all-time favorite label. I’ve told you about the classic Death Row Records projects you should have in your collection. The Chronic by Dr. Dre started things off and it was followed by Doggystyle from Snoop Dogg. Doggystyle was such a huge album that Snoop made a short film surrounding the Murder Was the Case track. It also came with its own music soundtrack. I’ve stated for the longest it’s one of my favorite rap soundtracks…

Scarface Dropped the My Homies Double Album 25 Years Ago Today

Scarface is known as one of the greatest rappers to ever touch the mic. On the controversial Billboard 50 greatest rappers list, Scarface finished 16th. I have never been upset about someone else’s list because its theirs. Scarface is my 3rd favorite rapper of all-time and the greatest MC to come from the south. Scarface first hit the rap scene with the legendary Geto Boys in 1988. The group released seven albums together and Bushwick Bill has passed away. Scarface embarked on a solo career in the fall of 1991. Mr. Scarface is Back was the name of the album and it’s considered a classic. Scarface have dropped 11 albums…

50 Cent Hustler’s Ambition for Throwback Thursday

Welcome to another Thursday as that mean we are closer to the weekend. Once again, there was plenty of great music being played this week. Doggfather from Snoop Dogg, Carter IV by Lil Wayne, and the New Yo Gotti joint started things off. All Eyez on Me from Pac, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Greatest Hits and a personal compilation was also played. I Go That Work from the Big Tymers and the Festivus joint from Wale made a nice week of music. Like always, one of those albums could’ve produced my featured track this week. The last album that got some play was the Best of 50 Cent. The Best of 50…

Classic Twista It Feels So Good for Throwback Thursday

Welcome to another Thursday as that mean we are closer to the weekend. The week started off with the 2Pacalypse Now album and new joints from NBA Youngboy and 2 Chainz. There were a few personal mixtapes that were made by me included. There were 3 in total and one of them was representing the Midwest. When I’m talking Midwest it’s Do or Die, Top Authority, Twista and Dayton Family. Victory Lap from Nipsey Hussle, Another Bad Creation and Rihanna’s A Girl Like Me were played this week. My featured track is coming from that Midwest compilation that was put together several years ago. My Throwback Thursday track is from…

Welcome to another Thursday as that mean we are closer to the weekend. Once again, it’s time to check out my weekly playlist and featured track. My week started off with the Scrappy/Trillville album and then the new one from Gunna. Quik is the Name from the legendary DJ Quik and then the new mixtape from Jim Jones with DJ Drama. Pac Life from 2Pac, Culture from Migos and the Slim Shady LP was also played. We also had some R&B with the New Life joint from Monica and OnMyRadio by Musiq Soulchild. As always, there were plenty to choose from for my Throwback Thursday joint this week. We are…

Welcome to another Thursday as that mean we are closer to the weekend again. The started off with the Hip Hop is Dead joint from Nas and then the new Cordae album. One of my personal 2Pac Greatest Hits and then So Help Me God from 2 Chainz. The debut from Gang Starr, Fuck a Mixtape from T.I. and Laugh Now Cry Later by Ice Cube. As you can see, there’s plenty to choose from regarding my featured Throwback Thursday joint. Another compilation I’ve put together is one for Suave House Records. I’ve made a compilation before and also featured 10 Suave House albums you should have in your collection.…

Young Dro Hear Me Cry for Throwback Thursday

Welcome to another Thursday as that mean we are closer to the weekend. My playlist this week consisted of a few mixtapes. Southern Smoke 16, DJ J-Boogie’s Heavy D tribute and a classic from DJ Cuttnice were all played. The Doctor’s Advocate from Game, G Code from Juvenile and T-Pain’s debut joint also made the list. There are a few that could have been the featured track, but I’ll go in another direction. One of the albums that was played was a personal mixtape I made several years ago. The mixtape featured 50 Cent, Nas, 2Pac, Beanie Sigel and Jay-Z. One artist that also made an appearance on the mixtape…

Chris Brown Yo Excuse Me Miss for Throwback Thursday

Welcome to another Thursday, as that mean we are closer to the weekend. Before moving on, let’s me say Happy Veterans Day to all the men and women that served in the military. My playlist this week was mixtape heavy. There were 5 in all with 2 of them representing G-Unit. One of them was a personal MMG one, plus one from Cutmaster C and Baby Maker Volume 1. TRU 2 Da Game was bumped and also the Evolution album from Joyner Lucas. 2Pacalypse Now and the new album from Wale also made the playlist. There is plenty to choose from once again, but I’m going the R&B route for…

Makaveli Hold Ya Head for Throwback Thursday

Welcome to another Thursday, which means we are closer to the weekend. My playlist had a little bit of everything as always. We had some new flavor from Don Tolliver and Moneybagg Yo, plus a couple of personal mixes I’ve made. Tela’s Piece of Mind, LL Cool J and his Mr. Smith joint and Coolio’s Gangstas Paradise was also played. Cash Money records was represented with the No Ceilings joint from Wayne and Birdman’s debut solo album. With tomorrow being the 25th anniversary of Tela’s Piece of Mind and 2Pac’s Makaveli album it came down to those two. We all know I’m a huge Pac fan, so we are going…
