We have the second match-up in the Western Conference Semifinals. The winner of the Golden State-New Orleans series will meet the winner of this one to advance to Conference Finals. Houston finished off the Minnesota Timberwolves in five games in their first-round series. Kyrie Irving was enjoying a tremendous season after being traded from Cleveland. It has now been reported that he’s going in for a second surgery on Friday to remove a pair of screws from a previous surgery. On March 24th, we thought he was cleaning up his knee, but those screws became infected. The original surgery happened in 2015 when he went down in the NBA Finals from his fractured patella. The team said a bacterial infection was discovered at the site of the screws when Irving had his most recent surgery, on March 24, to remove tension wire in the knee and that Saturday’s procedure will ensure no infection…

The LA Clippers have traded All-Star forward Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons. The Clippers will receive Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, Boban Marjanovic, and a first- and second-round draft pick. The Clippers are also sending Brice Johnson and Willie Reed to Detroit alongside Griffin.
