It is finally here, we’re down to the Final Four and I am excited that on my ESPN bracket I actually have 3 out of the 4 teams,I had Missouri instead of Louisville, so I feel pretty good about this. You can check out how I’ve done with my original bracket http://www.daddyshangout.com/all-sports-talk/2012-ncaa-tournament-prediction and my Sweet 16 preview http://www.daddyshangout.com/all-sports-talk/ncaa-sweet-16-preview. Let’s get started and see who I have winning the Semi-Finals games and the Championship game.
The first game we have is the Battle of the State of Kentucky, between the Kentucky Wildcats and the Louisville Cardinals. They met earlier this season in Rupp Arena where Kentucky won 69-62 where projected lottery pick, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist lead the Wildcats with 24 points and 19 rebounds, while Russ Smith lead the Cardinals with 30 points. This will be a great game and this is one of college basketballs best rivalries, they’ve met 43 times in over 100 years. I believe after a hard fought game, I’m sticking with my pick from the start and that is Kentucky, but that depends on the health of Andre Davis, who injured his knee against Baylor in the Elite 8 but he still played the entire game. Winner: Kentucky
This is another rematch from games played earlier in the year and this game was played in Kansas, in which the Jayhawks won 78-67 but the Buckeyes were without there star Jared Sullinger. Once again this is played on a neutral court and I am looking forward to the battle between Thomas Robinson and Jared Sullinger down low. It will be a battle of Sullinger with the power and Robinson with his quickness. In this rematch I see the same result as the first game but much closer. I have to go with Kansas seeing I pick them to play in the title game. Winner: Kansas
Title Game
This is the title game and I actually had this as the championship game from the start. I believe this Kentucky is a team full of future NBA players and think they are as talented as any college team I’ve seen. But at the end of the day I believe the veteran leadership of Tyshawn Taylor and Thomas Robinson will lead them to the championship, with Robinson being the tournament MVP. Winner and National Champions: Kansas Jayhawks
