Welcome to another Thursday, this means we’re closer to the weekend. The big news in hip hop this week was the rumored exit from TDE by Kendrick Lamar. It turned out to be fake news, which could mean we might have some new music from him. My playlist this week consisted of a Snoop Dogg and Jadakiss mixtape, plus the Like Water for Chocolate. There was also a pair of personal mixtapes, Lil Wayne’s I Am Not a Human Being II and Boosie’s Life after Death Row. Common Released Be 15 Years Ago

Common is one of the illest rappers to ever pick up a microphone. 15 years ago today, Common dropped his sixth album, Be. Be marked his first album in two and half years as he went in another direction. Common signed with Chicago’s own, Kanye West and his GOOD Music label. One thing about Kanye’s production is that he’ll provide some soulful melodies. By teaming up with Common, this is exactly what we got as fans. It has been a very, very long time since I have done a Throwback Thursday, and this is the perfect time to bring that back. The artist I’ll be showcasing Atlanta's rapper and legend, TIP, who just dropped a new project called Us or Else. It’s hard to believe that next month, T.I. will be celebrating his debut album; I'm Serious dropping 15 years ago, which I will have a write-up about.
