Rick Ross Released Port of Miami 15 Years Ago

Rick Ross is one of the better rappers we’ve seen over the last 20 years. To be honest, Ross has one of the better discographies of any rapper to ever touch the mic. It all started 15 years ago when Rick Ross released his debut album, Port of Miami. The platinum selling Port of Miami first single was a mega-hit when it was released. Hustlin’ was the name and it was one of the biggest hits of the summer of 2006. Hustlin’ went platinum and even had Jay-Z and Jeezy on the remix. Push It was the only other single released off the Port of Miami. Unfortunately, Push It didn’t…

Rick Ross Released Teflon Don 10 Years Ago Today

Rick Ross released Teflon Don 10 years ago today. Teflon Don marked his fourth album and to me it marked him transitioning to a great rapper. Rick Ross just teamed with August Alsina to drop the Entanglement track, which adds to the Will and Jada drama. Teflon is the second biggest selling album in his discography as it only trails his debut, Port of Miami album. Less than two months before Teflon Don, Rick Ross dropped the dope Albert Anastasia EP mixtape. The year before, Rick Ross dropped his Deeper Than Rap album which was another great album. During the Deeper Than Rap album, Rick Ross was beefing with 50…

Listen and Stream Port of Miami 2 by Rick Ross

After much anticipation, Rick Ross finally released his Port of Miami 2 album. Port of Miami 2 is the follow-up to his classic, Rather You Than Me project. For me, Rick Ross is one of the more underrated rappers ever. On the last Mixtape Friday, we put together over 120 tracks for the Very Best of Rick Ross playlist. Port of Miami 2 makes this his unprecedented 10th studio album and 13 years since his Port of Miami debut. After listening a couple of times, Ross came through once again. After putting together such an impressive discography, we now can refer to Rick Ross as a legend. Nipsey Hussle, Lil…

Very Best of Rick Ross for Mixtape Friday

Rick Ross have just released his 9th album, Port of Miami 2. With Rick Ross, you either love him or you hate him. Seeing that I’ve been known to venture on various hip hop sites, that’s pretty much how people view him. The ones that like him will point out how he’s putting out good albums consistently, plus his ear for beats. The ones that don’t hold him in high regard is usually because he lied about being a correction officer. For me, none of that matters and I’m always looking forward to his latest music. For my Mixtape Friday, we’re putting out the Very Best of Rick Ross. If…

Rick Ross Gold Roses Featuring Drake

Rick Ross is preparing to drop his unprecedented 10th album, Port of Miami 2. The follow-up to his Rather You Than Me will finally be released on August 9th. If Port of Miami 2 is near as good as Rather You Than Me, we all will be happy. Rather You Than Me was my second favorite album to drop in 2017. Actually, Rather You Than Me is my second favorite album from Rick Ross in his impressive discography. Recently, Rick Ross teamed up with Drake for his newest single, Gold Roses. If you look back at the history of these two on the same track, it has been amazing. From…

Daddy’s Hangout Top 10 Rap Albums of 2017

I’ll be honest, this year has been a pretty impressive year for rap music. We’ve had our share of beefs throughout hip hop and we saw the culture unite for Meek Mill, who was sent to prison. From the rise of Cardi B to the collaborative album by two of my favorite artists, Fabolous and Jadakiss. It’s been a very exciting year in hip hop where we got a surprise album from Jay-Z and Kendrick Lamar dropped out of nowhere. Below I’ve put together the top 10 rap albums I’ve heard this year. What’s your favorite albums of 2017? 10) 2 Chainz Pretty Girls Like Trap Music Been a fan…

Rick Ross ft. Future- Take Advantage

I’ll be honest, when Rick Ross came out with Hustlin’ I wasn’t a big fan of his, but my best friend told me that he’s going to be the truth. After his debut album, Port of Miami my stance kind of changed because I thought the album was really good. Then he dropped the Trilla album and I really wasn’t feeling the album even though it had a couple of hits on it. Then I became a fan for life when he dropped his Deeper Than Rap and Teflon Don albums and I thought that album was great. Fast forward to his new mixtape, Black Dollar and I can’t get…

Rick Ross- We Gon Make It

Finally, I had the chance to give a good listen to the new mixtape from Rick Ross called Black Dollar, that I featured a couple of weeks ago as my Mixtape Friday. I checked out Foreclosures when it came out and absolutely loved that track, but with the release of Hood Billionaire, I didn’t have high expectations from the mixtape. After a few listens, this mixtape is one that I can put in and let it ride, meaning I can listen to the whole thing without skipping a track. Honestly, I could feature a track for Music Monday every week for 2 to 3 months without a problem. My Music…

Lil Wayne The Carter IV Album Review

Well before getting started I’ve listened to Wayne since the Hot Boys dropped Get It How U Live album along with B.G, Juvenile and Turk. So I’ve followed him a long time so I’m not going to bore you anymore and get straight to the review. The first Carter album made me become more of a Wayne fan. The Carter 2 felt like a continuation of the first one as it was a dope album also. The Carter 3 wasn’t as nice as the first two, but it still was a good album though.   1. Intro- He just spitting a few bars, nice intro where he just spitting…
