Had A Chance to Go to Xbox One Demo Tour in Atlanta

XBox One

Are you ready for November 22nd to come? That’s when you get a chance to go out get your new Xbox One and enjoy the great graphics that comes along with your favorite games. The team over at Xbox have embarked on a road trip to visit come cities across the United States to give gamers and even skeptics to play some demo versions of some of the great games. While there I had the chance to play games like: Dead Rising 3, Forza Motorsports 5, Battlefield 4, FIFA 14, Crimson Dragon, Killer Instinct and Zoo Tycoon. My son was so jealous he couldn’t go, sorry but education comes first and you have to be 18 years of age to attend also. But those games looked great and I had so much fun playing the games, interacting with the other gamers and just the entire atmosphere, it felt club-like with the DJ playing music the entire time. To add, the Xbox staff was great, friendly and most definitely boosted the amount of fun I had. While there I had the chance to take a picture with famed Xbox developer Major Nelson, my son was also jealous of this also. We walked around and he was telling me about how they’re continuing in pushing the envelope with developing  new features for the Xbox, like now how you can use your phone to interact by having characters calling your phone and syncing your gaming to your smartphone also. Since my son is an avid gamer, I also asked Major Nelson how could he go about having a career in gaming? He said to make sure he continues to learn as much as possible about graphics and also learn about coding also. Then he was saying to learn how to develop games by starting small like doing anything from just picking up objects, movement and then you can gradually start making games. Gaming has become just as, if not more influential than Hollywood. Meeting him was great and was a pleasure to talk to while there!!!!

Some Facts About the New Xbox One:

-Play Xbox One games online or offline.

Your Xbox One doesn’t need to be connected for you to enjoy offline features of games. In fact, you can take the Xbox One anywhere and play any disc-based Xbox One game on it. The only times you need an online connection are for initial set-up of Xbox One, and to get the latest system and title updates before you start playing some games.

-Share, trade-in, resell, gift, & rent game discs to your heart’s content.

Use Xbox One’s disc-based games just like you do today – there are no limitations to using and sharing them: it works like it does today on Xbox 360. If you’d rather get your games digitally, you can purchase from Xbox Live and get instant access to playing.

Kinect or Controller – There are a variety of ways to interact with Xbox One. Depending on the game or app, you can control Xbox One using voice commands 6 and gestures, a controller, a remote control or your Xbox One SmartGlass device. It’s designed to interact with you in multiple ways.

-Easily turn Xbox One and Kinect on or off.

To turn off your Xbox One, just say “Xbox Off.” This puts Xbox One into standby mode where it’s only listening for the voice command, “Xbox On.” 6 You can also turn off your Kinect through the system settings, or you can simply unplug it. Xbox One does not require a Kinect to be plugged in for the system to function.

-Play anywhere with your own Xbox Live Gold account.

A single Xbox Live Gold membership works across both Xbox One and Xbox 360 – your membership covers both. And you can log into a friend’s Xbox One and access all your downloadable games, preferences, and apps.

-You control your privacy.

You decide how personalized Xbox One is to you and your family, including privacy settings, manual or automatic sign-in, and how data is used. And when you play games or enjoy apps that use sensitive personal data, such as videos, photos, and facial expressions, no one except you can access it, without your express permission.

-Your Gamertag and Gamerscore follow you to Xbox One.

No need to worry: you can bring your Xbox Live Gamertag and Gamerscore with you to Xbox One. Your Gamerscore will be automatically updated once you have connected to Xbox Live.
